Tolerance equals forced conformity. I much prefer acceptance to tolerance. I can accept that people will live their lives however they want. Doesn’t mean I need to be around ‘em.

Very well said. I would add that the word “tolerance” has been hijacked to mean enforced conformity.

Tolerance equals forced conformity. I much prefer acceptance to tolerance. I prefer mutual tolerance, which by definition implies reciprocity (if it isn't reciprocated, it isn't mutual). What liberals call "tolerance" is merely appeasement, and I'm not sure "acceptance" is much better.
