MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Twenty-six-year-old Raymond Widstrand was walking on Payne Avenue Sunday evening when he came across a large group of people, who were watching a fight.
Police say it happened Aug. 4, 2013, at about 11:30 p.m. When police arrived, Widstrand was on the ground with his legs and arms spread out. Blood was coming from his nose and mouth. His pants were off and his shirt torn.
Police questioned several people who were on the scene. One witness told police she had been a party at an address on Preble, near Minnehaha Avenue in St Paul.
She said that some of the girls at the party started fighting outside, and everyone came out to watch.
While this was happening, according to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County, she saw a young white man walking into the crowd.
The witness said she saw a person, she called “Bay Bay” hit the man in the head, knocking him down.
She also told police that she saw another man begin stomping the man. Another pulled his pants off.
Sgt. Paul Paulos says it’s a senseless crime.
“He is still alive and is day-by-day,” Paulos said.
The witness told police the man was hit and beaten for no reason. She also identified the attackers as being with the “East Side Boys” or “Ham Crazy.”
Issac O’Neal Maiden, 19, is charged in Ramsey County with assault for committing a crime for the benefit of a gang.
Police say as of Aug. 8, the prognosis for recovery is slight. Should he live, he will suffer permanent and protracted loss of brain function.

I wonder how much of his injuries came from being knocked out, with his head landing on the ground from a standing position. Natasha Richardson fell and encountered the same problem, ultimately dying from acute subdural hematoma caused by the fall.

Inner city blacks are raised by women, who can teach actions based on feelings. Since the mom has no self control, she does not teach self control. Result is a boy growing up to use violence if he feels you dissed him. Looking at him the wrong way or replying in the wrong tone can evoke a violent reaction.
Opposite of the black inner city culture is the Arab culture where boys are raised solely by male members of the family after the age of eight. Very little female influence. Here you see the opposite, no sense of empathy. If a person was told to shoot another person, most would feel the person to be killed is still a human being. Arabs will not feel an infidel is human even if he is crying at the last moments of his life before being put to death.
Both cultures devoid of balance, but end up with the same result, one kills if slightly offended and one kills outsiders with very little feelings. Two groups in the US will offer great challenge to security, blacks and Muslims. Both can kill at a slight offense.
Before whites can become complacent of ones culture, single mom families are rising amongst whites. One day we all may be dealing with white men with no self control also.

Thank you for posting those pictures of the victim and one of the perps as a pictures do help tell the story. A sad story that we see repeated far too often in present day America. I would have posted the pictures, but I’m on my phone and I haven’t mastered getting the URLs from photos in articles while using my phone.

The perp has dead eyes. He has the look of someone that has low intelligence and no empathy for others. He likely feels no remorse over brutally beating an innocent man.
He should have profiled. Not doing so in some situations is insane. Middle class blacks avoid the ghetto as well. I hope he recovers.

Though blacks are outnumbered 5-to-1 in the population by whites, they commit eight times as many crimes against whites as the reverse. By those 2007 numbers, a black male was 40 times as likely to assault a white person as the reverse.

Source please. I lived five years in Saudi Arabia and visited all the arab countries in the region and never saw that to be the case. In Saudi, there was what amounts to sexual apartheid, but the mothers take care of their children regardless of sex. Many arab men revere their mothers who spoil them rotten.
All you race hate preachers in the pulpits, in our schools, our govenment and on our radios and TVs, it's time to preach Love and Forgiveness instead, and act like you mean it so your followers will join with you.

I agree. Name any place in USA where a black person is afraid of getting beaten by a group of whites. Name any ghetto of blacks where a white person wouldn’t be afraid of that.
