One day soon, this will all approach a “there’s mercury in fish” level...

That's a big issue here in the South with lake caught fish. They recommend pregnant women to eat no more than about once per month, IIRC.

Misleading information. The fresh water fish you catch is dependent on the minerals and pollutants of the lake bottom or river system. Oregon fishing regulations book has PCB & Hg & other contamination listed by type of fish and the location from where they are caught.
