"3 years for contamination to reach U.S. coast from Fukushima, scientist estimates"

If you can't trust National Geographic, who can you trust?

So. I’m guessing the prudent thing to do is stop all that exotic Sushi crap. Maybe think more about inland farm bred salmon over the ‘wild caught’ stuff. Forget tuna, forget albacore from the pacific.. All those other Hawaii mahi mahi (sp)...I dunno...

If it don’t get hushed up, it’s gonna be one big ecological freakshow for the Greenies - or will it [what’s gonna be in it for them, now?]

How many Nuclear submarines have been sunk by accident with operating nuclear reactors. With the number of subs that have gone down I don’t see a reason to panic.

How much radiation is being emitted by those reactors is a wild guess but governments have’nt been worrying much.

Considering that quite a lot of tsunami flotsam is already here, I would suspect that some of the radiation is, as well. Is our fleet catching radioactive tuna this season?

Russians regularly dump radio water in sands where it gets dissipated. It would be more dangerous as an aerosol like Chernobyle, imo.

If anything distribute tablets of KI .... WHICH THE FRENCH PUBLIC SOCIALIST HEALTH SYSTEM REFUSED TO DO OUT OF INTERNATIONAL DEFERENCE TO THE SOVIETS (AND PREVENTED) MAKING COUNTLESS MILLIONS SICK CUZ THEY DID NOT WANT TO GIVE CREDIT TO US’s SUPPLYING IT TO GERMANS, DESTROYING US MISSION.

... one of the many health scandal/murders of the so called french obamacare (hemophiliac aids scandal and the heat wave are two others, which refused to cooperate with US screening and refrigeration contractors.

I seriously doubt it will come anywhere close to the amounts Russian dumped directly into the oceans. Russian Ocean Dumping

Correct. Anytime I see natgeo quoted as being the source, I immediately know without a doubt that it must be true. NOT! While they may have some pretty nice photos, they’re no better than the “earth island” and green peace clowns. I guess I’ll just have to keep trusting in king hussein. LOL!

Your bottle of Evian water is allowed to have 300 becquerels. That is every second, 300 neutrons decay. Yes the pool water at Fukishima exceeds this rate but no one is expected to drink it right out of the pool. It flows into the ocean where it is diluted. How many bottles of Evian would it take to fill the Pacific Ocean? By the way Fukushima is allowed to emit 22 trillion becquerels a year before exceeding safe levels. Typical green alarmism.

If one were aware of how many nuclear bombs were set off ALL OVER THE WORLD before the testing ban, one would wonder why the entire surface of the planet doesn't glow at night.

It's even more interesting to see it in a graphic form.

This takes a while to watch and is slow to really get POPPING, but after you watch it, you won't have the same 'view' of these isolated and rare events like Fukishima any more.

"3 years for contamination to reach U.S. coast from Fukushima, scientist estimates"

And does this scientist estimate that radiation from this contamination will be detectable or distinguished from the ocean's own natural background radiation? I really doubt it - the Pacific is an enormous body of water.

And this is a scenario that could conceivably continue for 20-30 years in which case I suppose the site will become so flooded it will be unworkable. I have even heard suggestions the entire facility could collapse due to the soil conditions.

Water is a very minor problem today . . . All the water has been evaporated or dumped into the ocean by corrupt criminal people running the show. They are like a bunch of wild monkeys. This new development is far more important to the world:

Create a cofferdam upstream in the aquifer by drilling in and injecting cement.

Divert upstream water in the aquifer with relief wells and high volume pumps. This would cut off or reduce the flow to the site underground.

Reduction might be preferable to completely stopping the flow: the core masses from the reactor(s) will need to be cooled to prevent fires. At least reduce the influx of water to a manageable level, if this hasn't been done already.
