Former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said on Saturday New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie just isn't "rogue" enough for her taste.
Palin sided with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul in his continuing feud with the popular New Jersey governor.
Im on team Rand," Palin told Fox News. "Rand Paul understands. He gets the whole notion of 'dont tread on me government.' Whereas Chris Christie is for big government and trying to go-along-to-get-along in so many respects."

... she dismissed Obama's comments about greater transparency regarding the National Security Agency and its surveillance operations at his news conference on Friday.
"There is no balance at all in this struggle for security and liberty when we have an illustration going on today about our government having lied about it, our government actually spying on innocent Americans and gathering data on us based on our communications, which really is a violation of our Fourth Amendment rights. There's no balance at all.
"That is stomping, trampling, a boot-on-the-neck of our liberty," she added. "That's not balance."
Palin also noted that former NSA subcontractor Edward Snowden, who leaked information about the surveillance programs, was "the bad guy in all this. They want to shoot the messenger instead of dealing with the problem.
"The problem is the trampling on our liberty, the trampling on our Fourth Amendment rights."

Very well put.
We continually scrap them off the bottoms of our shoes.
This IS the face of the GOP.
Conservatives for decades have tried to wrestle back the party from these guys with little success.
Folks like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee have certainly made a positive difference, but coupled with the battle against the liberal progressives such as Reid, Pelosi and Obozo...I'm afraid it's an uphill battle.
The Rove wing does not understand. They still believe they are running against a Democrat opponent. They are actually running against the media. It is time for one of ours to get smart and stuff this down the throat of any reporter they encounter.
"Ms. Reporterette, I will judge my success by how loudly you squeal, by how many newspaper articles condemn me, and by the reaction of the Democrats. The louder you squeal, the more I get Alinskied, the better I am doing my job. If you say something nice about me, I screwed up. You see, I am a Republican, and you are trained to attack me."

Last week I thought I saw Priebus make a similar statement indicating the media would just be cut off from republican afffairs
OK. You are a looong time poster. So you’re not trolling. Perhaps senility? I’ll give you a clue; go to Drudge, scroll down to Rush, on his site type in ‘Tina Fey Palin’, then read the August 7 report.
Don’t bother saying you’re sorry.Someday I will be OLD also. ;-)
They may be beginning to get it. I think a less civil tone, right in the face of the reporter would have great effect right now. Conservatives are angry. One of ours smiling at the camera while using the lines from my post above would play well.
He is an idiot.
“Sorry but my statement of Rushs comments are 100% accurate.”
Pardon me if I correct you, but Rush did say that it was Tina Fey that made that comment and not Sarah.
Since you say you don’t listen to Rush much, perhaps you didn’t listen past the commercial break when Rush did indeed attribute that statement to Tina Fey.
I’m also a 24/7 subscriber and his podcast verifies it.
Excellent post. Reagan made two of the greatest political smackdowns of modern times in debates first against Jimmy Carter and later against Walter Mondale, and in the latter case, Mondale laughed right along with the audience.
It’s possible though that Palin was simply responding to a question when she said what she said — in my view, correctly — about Chris Christie and Rand Paul.
It might have been better for her to articulate those of Paul’s ideas with which she agrees and then say something along the lines of: “to the extent that Chris Christie is willing to go along with these policies, there’s a place for him in the conservative movement. But these principles are no longer negotiable, and conservatives are growing increasingly frustrated with politicians who will sign them away.”
Same message, without the personal wording.
Yup, any so called "conservative" that disses Sarah is in fact GOPe. It is fine to disagree with her on this and that but lying about her and disrespecting her is a sure sign of RINOism.
No you're wrong. I heard Rush say it also, as I was yelling at the radio in my car.
Rush is unbelievably repetitive, though, so perhaps maybe one of his hundreds of times of repeating it, he got it right?
If it’s Hillary vs NJFatboy in Nov 2016, I’m writing in Putin!
(I actually think NJFatboy has a shot at being Hillary’s VP, there would be a mediagasm over the “bipartisan” ticket.)
Very good. Thanks for the chuckle. If it’s Hillary v Fatboy I am moving to Russia for freedom.
Perhaps what lead newfreep astray is Rush's opening comment.
Rush said...
Rush's opening comment leaves out half the point.
I think the comment suggests that most of Palin's supposed gaffes are real and that Obama just makes more of them. In reality, the media made up most (if not all) Palin's gaffes.
I would have said something like...
Again, Rush's opening comment leaves out half the point, thus the confusion some.
