There is a big difference between summary execution, and rescuing a hostage. A very big difference. Any other course of action would have meant taking unjustified risks with that 16 year olds life. Im glad that douche got shot. And im glad that a skilled person got him.
Summary execution would be if he was walking alone, no threat to anyone. It could even mean killing him after he was captured. But it does not include shooting an armed murderer who has a 16 year old victim under his control.
This is the case even if she was a willing party. People kill loved ones every day. Facing arrest, murder/suicide was an impulse away. Better to kill him and end it. Its the only civilized thing to do.
Would have been better if the Fort Hood shooter had received the same fate at the time of his shooting rampage. Instead we are treated to the spectacle of a show trail with the victims being victimized again and, I suspect, an officer court that will be too afraid to convict him of murder to avoid offending Muslim sensitivities. GRRR...
On one point we can agree: none of us has the necessary facts to make an informed judgment. And given the supine, slavish lib media and the Feds’ propensity to stall, cover up, spin, & lie, we may never have them.
