So what say we conduct the experiment that could and I emphasize could here finally settle the question once and for all. Lets just nominate somebody who has welded on all three legs of the stool and leaves not a sliver of daylight for the squishiness question.
A nominee who will state without ambiguity that were going to bomb the crap out of anyone who is actively working against our interests. One who flatly proclaims that there will be no abortions for anyone and new Supreme Court justices will be inclined to overturn Roe v Wade.
They will solemnly aver that we will slash both taxes and spending in a serious fashion, consequences be damned, and that any money spent on immigration reform will go toward arresting and deporting illegals while massively strengthening the borders.
And if the only path available to deal with argumentative Democrats is to shut the government down, then By God they will personally be the one to turn out the lights as the last one out the door.
But who is left to fill the bill? As I indicated at the top with apologies to any of your other favorites we should narrow it down to people who have the name recognition to at least launch a viable campaign and have actively indicated at least some interest in running. Sounds like Ted Cruz or Peter King to me. And, yes, lets toss in Sarah Palin who is far from past her prime and has never entirely ruled out the possibility, while clearly meeting all of the criteria above.
We tried it one way in 2008 and 2012, and its only fair to give the other side a chance to walk the walk, so lets get everyone from both sides

We need a pre-primary for conservative candidates and run one in the primary against the RINO..
I don’t know who Peter King is. He would have to get famous quick.
I don’t think Cruz or Palin will run but I’d be fine with Steve King.
Pete King is a very famous RINO.
King should never be mentioned in the same breath with Cruz and/or Palin.
Except for contrast.
Both Kings are rinos.
Peter King is a representative from New York. Need I say more.
That’s OK I’ll be sure to vote for Steve King anyway.
Angus King is an independent commie
Peter King is a neo-statist RINO
Steve King - one of our House good guys :)
Gary Johnson.
With 90% of the media in the tank for the democrats and the democrats expertise in massive election fraud there are great odds against a republican president being elected anytime before the Apocalypse.
The success the media and liberals had in demonizing Sarah Palin has probably eliminated her as a viable candidate.
And they will do the same to all other conservative candidates they percieve to be a threat to their domination of the government.
Palin, please.
That’s what I was thinking, cripplecreek. I bet it’s an error.
My conspiritard side (after all the funny stuff last year) says we need to put fail safes *in place now/ ASAP* to insure that our votes- in the primaries *and the elections* are counted properly next year & in 2016.
I just hope we don’t have to fight our own side next time.
Cruz for me, please!
I’m starting to think this Jazz Shaw guy is a bit of a dope. Peter King is well known in the NYC metro area, he is a R congressman from Long Island. He’s reasonably right wing, but he is thought of by many to be a RINO. To me he is most memorable as being quite a squish on the IRA (Irish Republican Army) a group who managed to hide from many of their stateside supporters that they were another COMMUNIST outfit. At least I think they hid it, maybe people here did know that. I’d like to think Congressman King knew it, at any rate.
Some commentors over at Hot Air seem to think Shaw’s confused Peter King with Steven King. Which would be kind of a stupid mistake.
However, I believe Peter King has floated the idea of running for Pres. But by no estimate is he a “hard core” conservative so this is a bit confusing.
Personally I think we’ll see a resurgence of the Tea
Party and that Mrs. Palin will run this time.
She’s smarter than she looks and that is awesome.
The GOPE has no claim on my vote.
Palin 2016.
So you like his position on illegals?
And it’s even stranger, since Steve King has refused to run for even a senate seat. I wish the author would clarify if he really is referring to Pete King and didn’t get confused.
Palin is VP candidate; the only way the media won’t tear her apart. If she goes all in and doesn’t care, even against the Republican establishment, then perhaps Presidential nomination. Any of the candidates we want, Carson/Palin/West/Walker/Cruz and a few others will be torn down by media-Democrap-Rino machine...I agree with Rush yesterday (Friday 8-9s show) where he said screw the NBC/CNN crowd and not have any primaries on those channels as they only will tear down such candidates making them unpalatable by the time the general election is at hand...
there’s more than one way to skin a liberal cat....and I’m willing to try all options.
now where did I leave my buzz saw?
