Just listening to Hannity and they jipped in on Obama's speech right as he flubbed LeJeune. What a doofus.
I don't have the audio, so if anyone can dig it up and post it here, it will be appreciated.
I hope all of the fallen soldiers got up and walked out.
Boy, that Obama, American through and through, huh?
That site is a pay site. You can get guest access for “only 99 cents”. No thanks.
My son was stationed there when he was in the Marines, and I heard it pronounced like Le June, but with a softer sound to the June, like Shune. Being from Louisiana, we tend to Frenchify pronunciations anyway.
LOL, he needs a prompter in the ear to resolve these issues.
Chimps come from a much more intelligent tribe.
And Charleston....Savannah.... and Jax
Are gulf ports...
I heard it. LOL.
WHO decided THAT? ted kennedy?
I’ve heard of “silent r”, but never an “implied r”. I’m just an old fart and will stay with le-june. Let the gunny try to correct me.

I sure wish this creep would just STFU.
I was stationed there twice.
We always pronounced it: la-joone (pronouncing the ‘j’ like the French “Jacques”)
Yep - same as us...
I bet he has no problem pronouncing Mombassa.
In Louisiana the name is correctly pronounced “le zhun”. If the General pronounced his name with a hard and obvious “R”, he would have been the only Louisianian ever to do so.
One of a million constant small reminders that Obama is an imposter and not an American in heart, mind or birth.
I deployed to lyman road and OP-2 many times, hit Onslow Beach once from the Pensacola, and we never called it Lejerne
it was CRAMP LEJUNE!
It’s also a reminder than no one in his multi-million dollar entourage cares enough to worry about such piddling things like the name of a military base. Every last one of them are as anti-American and Marxist as he is. *SPIT*
I’ve never been stationed there, but have been TAD there many times in a civilian capacity.
When the Commanding General corrects your pronunciation, you take note. They are actively trying to change the pronunciation to Camp Luh-jern.
In the same way, they are trying to change the pronunciation of Kadena AFB. But for us old farts, it’s hard to change.
