No, when you took it that I was referring to our elected leaders in Congress, you went off track. I was referencing the part of the Republican public who get it. Some folks get it because they were raised with morals. Others get it because they understand the ideological arguments, and dismiss Liberalism/Marxism/Communism/Islamism. 20% of Republicans understand. 80% do not. As for Congress, it is appearant that almost none of them truly get it, in the Senate (has been lost for a long time) and now the House seems just as bad. It's a Conservatism free zone in Washington, D. C.

Republicans vote against Dems and their subversive agenda by default; Its your opinion that 80% of the voting Pubbies are NOT privy to the ideological subversiveness of the Dem Party, while indifferent to the dangers of "Liberalism/Marxism/Communism/Islamism". Where I disagree with you is in the degree that Republican voters know the REAL score; By default they've been forced to vote for the "lesser of two evils." That is NOT what Dem vs. Pubbie should be, and they know it. But it's become worse than that....

Republican Leaders are yielding on Amnesty.

Ignoring any one of several scandals should have rightfully AND legally have begun Impeachment proceeding. Instead, all we've seen is smoke and mirrors from Republican "leadership", and aiding and abetting TREASON. And I repeat; Congress DOES "get it" -- that is most troubling.

I wouldn't put it that way.  I just think the 80% of the Republicans vote for the party nominee by wrote.  They don't need to know more.  It's the Republican nominee.  What else do we need to know?  They honestly don't think there's more to know.

I remain unconvinced that Congress (the Republican wing) does get it.  Witness immigration reform, Obamacare defunding, NSA Spying...  We've got some very clueless bastards in there these days.  There would be open rebellion in the House right now if more than a very few Representatives grasped the issues as a Conservative should.

Because they are not well versed Conservatives.  You may be trying to lead me to the Rockerfeller paradigm, and I'm not going to avoid it if that's what you want to do.  The fact remains, at least IMO, that these are not America First Conservatives.

Do they get Conservatism?  That's the question at hand.  No they don't.  You may think they do, but are ignoring it.  That's impossible.  If you get it, agree with it, you can't do anything else but support it.These folks don't support it.  They are not Conservatives.  They don't get the overpowering message of Conservatism.  Their heart is in another place.  They DON'T get it, like you and I get it.
