n a rare diplomatic snub, President Obama is canceling plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month.
The decision reflects both U.S. anger over Russia's harboring of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and growing frustration within the Obama administration over what it sees as Moscow's stubbornness on other key issues, including missile defense and human rights.
Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there. Instead of visiting Putin in Moscow, the president will add a stop in Sweden to his early September travel itinerary.

I bet he won’t. You have to remember the tens of billions in broadcast money NBC makes for the Olympics...he is not about to gut his best friends and his own personal media outfit. The U.S. will not boycott the games. They never will again. Everything is too p.c. and touchy feely and the athletes stories would flood the papers and the net for months and months killing his approval rating which to Obama is his life’s blood.
Russia may have demanded some tangible, legitimate form of ID.
Have to root for Putin here as the good guy.
Maybe Putin told him “We have our own form of NSA. And, believe me, you Kenyen muslim and lover of Reggie, you better not mess with me.”
I wonder how pissed Putin would get if Jarrett refused to meet with him.
Rush covered this in his first segment. Played recording of Obama bashing BUSH in 2008 and saying “ I WILL meet with any foreign leader without conditions.”

I caught a bit of Rush - He was talking about the background for Russia outlawing homo advocacy and mentioned their desire to insulate from corrupt Western values.
I thought he kind of fizzled out on that. We export more harmful things that just homo advocacy. Porn, rap music, disrespect for authority, selfishness, a general rejection of the Christian faith..... YMMV.
I thought this would actually save us some money, but he has decided to take his vacation/tour of Switzerland or Sweden or so something. Why can’t the bastard just stay at the White House for a month or two?

Obama’s trip to Russia (now Sweden or something) and to the G20 will cost more than it costs to send an astronaut to the space station. sad. very sad.

When we no longer have ANY freedom left, (including the right to practice Christianity) or money to pay bills, you might better understand “American exceptionalism”.
You mention all of the bad things we export, like rap music, a coarse culture, abortion, etc. There are primarily tools of the left, NOT the average American.
American exceptionalism pays to feed and clothe poor people all over the world. It gives us the money to evangelize all over the world, too.
If you phase it like that he might change his mind.
