Pete Rose broke a rule after he retired as a player and was a manager. He only bet on his team to win. Never accused of cheating or throwing games. Seems like a good way to motivate someone, if you win you make money, you lose and you don’t get paid. IMHO, Pete has been punished long enough. He was a great player.
Yeah Pete Rose IMO was the greatest all-around player the game has seen - or at least a darn good argument can be made so.
And he did not use PEDs. He could just do it.
