You are exactly correct. The whole purpose and intent behind Obamacare was to make private health insurance prohibitively expensive and drive everyone eventually into a single payer government run healthcare system.
The GOP end game is to get fully behind it and make sure it is completely implemented.
A National Healthcare System like Britain’s, paid for by General Tax Revenue. It will break this country into oblivion.
They like to say “single-payer” systems because that sounds so innocuous. What it really means is that every frigging tax payer who actually PAYs real, net taxes is gonna foot the bill for this abortion.

Actually, it is a stepwise approach to have data/location/history of every man, woman, and child who is an American. The IRS has records on anyone who files a tax return. But now the IRS will have a file on every single registered American citizen. THAT is the purpose of Obamaroidcare. The elimination of ‘undesirables’ will follow as surely as day follows night and night follows day.
This is the Obamunist version of Aktion T4. We all know where that went.
There is only one way to stop them.
Personally, I think the whole purpose behind 0bamacare is much more perverse. The goal is to control everything we do by blackmailing us through the carrot of “health care”. Those who vote/donate/campaign for the dems will possibly receive actual health care. Those who are not DNC voters will possibly only receive health care if they are still in a position to pay taxes. Once a non-DNC voting person crosses from a net payer to the government to a net receiver, no health care will be available. JMHO
What end game? The public is too anesthetized to care. But when the big premiums and/or taxes/penalties hit the productive half of the country there will be an outcry.
Let’s hope that Republicans are in control when that happens.
Expect a big fight. 0bamacare is a massive transfer of money from producers to slackers who vote democrat. They won’t let go of the freebies without a lot of resistance.

Yup ... so I am preparing for the collapse of the society. Preppers, for the most part, have not realized yet that the armor being purchased and staged around the country is destined for the confiscation runs, gathering up food, etc. to feed the slug dependents in the cities. But the storm troopers have to exit the armor in order to load their trucks ...

Voting died on Nov 6th 2012.. officially.. but it probably really died long before that.. The voting machines and even “the mechanism” has been broken for a long time..
AND damned near all conservatives and Rinos refuse to admit it...
Nov 6th 2012 showed up many “mistakes” of voter fraud.. that proved it..
Be assured the corrupt forces NOTICED IT TOO.. and will take steps to insure the public will not notice it in the future..
