Government workers in the city of Seattle have been advised that the terms "citizen" and "brown bag" are potentially offensive and may no longer be used in official documents and discussions.
KOMO-TV reports that the city's Office of Civil Rights instructed city workers in a recent internal memo to avoid using the words because some may find them offensive.

Lunatics Rule!
“...These people are insane.
It’s insane because government at all levels has been infiltrated and taken over by insane evil controlling lunatics...”
Absolutely insane. They suffer from the chronic, no-cure mental disease known as liberalism. It rots out the human brain’s ability to think rationally or reasonably. Symptoms are self-loathing, envious of those that aren’t diseased, hatred of everything. 50 years ago, we kept them in the state mental institutions. Now, they run the govt. They are, in essence, the “walking dead”, mentally speaking of course. Political zombies.
Hey now, us New Yorkers aren’t all bad. And I do pronounce it as ‘new york’, not new yawk’, despite being born in Brooklyn.
What about ‘white out’ ?
hehehehe.
Went through Seattle on tour in a rock band in the
eighties. This was a while back and one thing that
was said in the band was that “this town has no
personality, all cliche and clicks and no cool”.
I guess Seattle is all tard now.
First Amendment? What First Amendment? You mean the same Bill of Rights that the government would love to burn and turn us into a dictatorship?
And don’t forget Bloomberg!
It won’t end well for them. They are all anti self defense. When the SHTF these will be the first people to go.
And ‘Seattle.’
Well, that’s probably true. My own city commission does nothing but sit around thinking of strange ways to spend city money, and they never ask in advance and just tell us after the fact (or don’t tell but admit to it only when somebody happens to find out).
I think all government, from the top on down, has gotten empowered under Obama and now thinks that its existence is actually the reason for being of the city, state or whatever that elected it...rather than the reverse.
Welcome to Seattle—Theater of the Absurd.
Wait until these people start having problems with their electrical grid. They’ll ban the words, “brown out’ and ‘black out’ as being racially insensitive, and won’t be able to address the problem at hand.
It only works if you exercise it.
Elliot has received an appropriate mocking email.

I brought my lunch to work today, yup, I am “Minority Bagging it” today...
What will the left use when blackmail is banned?

Thank you for checking in about this. News reports that the City of Seattle has "banned" certain terms are simply not true. About three months ago I sent a short e-mail to about 25 other public information officers in Seattle City departments, suggesting that we think about using other terms in certain situations. It was a friendly suggestion, nothing more, because others had brought the issue to my attention. There is no ban on language. Im sorry that this has been reported inaccurately.
Thanks again for writing,
Elliott
