They know Hannity so well that they know his taste in music?

The irony, perhaps lost on the dumb@ss author, is that Motown bolted for the West Coast in 1972.

The clear message is “No matter what happens, or who does it I, black people, and “progressives” or Democrats are never ever responsible for anything.”

Actually there is still some good music coming out of Detroit. Earlier today I was talking about Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker. It ain’t motown but that’s OK because those white boys are actually trying to do things for the city rather than sitting around and bitching.

As payback for the worldwide revolution symbolized by hot jazz, Smokey Robinson dancin’ to keep from cryin’ and Eminem trading verses with Rihanna, New Orleans and Detroit had to be punished.

Coded racism? What the Hell does that even mean?

Anyway, Hannity likes country, I don’t.

I like some old Motown. Let’s enjoy some.

Bill Withers. Awesome!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBR2G-iI3-I

Gloria Gaynor. Magnificent!

Roberta Flack. Art!

Whatever black singers are producing today, I don’t even know what it is. Jay Z? What is that? Beyoncé? Without talent. Nicki Minaj? False, everything is false.

Now I am just upsetting myself. Time to listen to some more old school.

Some of my favorite acts are Motown. I grew up in the New Orleans area.

Democrats ruined both towns. Democrats who abused identity politics specifically.

Detroit was doomed a long time ago....From a old song:

Hey, Mama, is it true what the say, that Papa never worked a day in his life?
And Mama, they talk all around town say that
Papa had three outside children and another wife
And that ain’t right.
Heard them talkin’ about Papa doing some storefront preachin’
Talkin’ about saving your souls and all the time leechin’.
And stealin’ in the name of the Lord
Mama just hung her head and said.....

The far left politicizes everything and will demonize any personal preference if it fits their prejudice and worldview. I wouldn’t be shocked if we soon see an article branding as racists people who favor vanilla ice cream over chocolate.

How did Sean Hannity and right-wingers “punish” Detroit and New Orleans? These people are nuts, and the MSM NEVER call them on it. This crap just keeps coming out day after day, week after week, year after year, and they get a pass. But any gaffe or overreaction by the right - Limbaugh’s “slut”comment - is immediately elevated to a national story and a national debate about the “incivility” of the right.

I grew up with Motown and have a rather large collection of the stuff. In fact, I can synch with most songs, even in falsetto, and can kick-ass with finger snaps and back-up motions. That said, I am a racist by WH and race monger definitions.

Who am I?

Big Media squeezed out “independents” like Motown (moved it to LA then it got swallowed up by MCA) and Imperial, Ace, and other legendary local labels (Stax in Memphis, Chess in Chicago).

And with the big players being the only game in the media world (they effectively block any startup outsiders out of radio, television, magazine covers, film soundtracks, etc.) those young entrepreneurs who establish powerhouse local businesses heard around the world never get exposure.

Jack White/The White Stripes got mainstream exposure (he was out of Detroit as well) when Virgin reissued his independent catalog (released by Sympathy For The Record Industry on a handshake, no contract) and added the "hit single" to the reissue version of the LP.

Sympathy wasn't even small town, it was an LA label but still outsider.

As centers of African-American cultural and political power and engines of a worldwide multiracial pop culture that was egalitarian, hedonistic and anti-authoritarian, these cities posed a psychic threat to the most reactionary and racist strains in American life.

I think the real music left Detroit on purpose. Its what they turned it into, and if Hannity doesn’t like today’s what passes as music, he can join millions of others. To me Rap is Crap and annoying. Give me back the Ink Spots and the Temptations.
