School officials in Florida are defending a textbook that declares Muhammad as the “Messenger of God” after critics accused an Islamic education group of launching a stealth jihad in American public school classrooms. The relevant question here is whether the textbook takes the sociologists’ “neutral” stance and when discussing each religion presents its tenets in the terms in which the believers would present them, in which case it’s annoying to the adherents of every religion, but not really a problem, or whether this is a stance adopted in the discussion of Islam alone, in which public outcry to the point of disrupting school board meetings is in order and use of such texts should be able to be struck down on First Amendment grounds.

Sadly there are just as many Christians who vote democrat as there are who vote republican.
I used to think the preachers should be shouting from the pulpits. Then I figured out there are just as many democrat preachers as there are republican. Probably more.

What is the need for 36 PAGES on Islam when one paragraph under a picture of the WTC collapsing serves the same purpose?

Palm Beach County is liberal. Yet, they got rid of this book. Brevard County is conservative. I am surprised they are trying to defend this book. I imagine they are doing all they can to keep this quiet because once people in the county realize this is happening, the school board will be replaced.
