When President Obama said Ho Chi Minh the North Vietnamese communist revolutionary who led the war effort against the U.S. that cost almost 60,000 American lives was a fan of the U.S. Constitution and Thomas Jefferson, he was echoing what an influential new book calls one of the most deadly communist disinformation campaigns in American history.
During a White House meeting with Vietnams President Truong Tan Sang last Thursday, Obama said he and Sang discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson.

The US left ‘nudged’ the public to believe that Minh was a benevolent democratic revolutionary. The evil dictator was nothing like that. His bloody trail lies as proof.

Sounds to me like an associate of Obama's has read the book, and decided to float this outlandish concept again, for mass distribution.
The idea now is to make the founders look no better than Ho. The effort is to destroy appreciation for their efforts and our founding documents, specifically the U. S. Constitution.
The Constitution has been the thorn in the Left's rib for decades. They'll do anything they can to discredit it.
Today they just outright ignore it. So do the Republicans, in anything other than lip-service.

I don’t think a thinking person could disagree with you there.
Sadly, there aren’t many of those around these days. It sure doesn’t seem like it.
