Not a bad idea except for local primary elections.
Without runoff elections for president our system is in deep trouble.

Adams certainly tells it like it is in this piece. There is a faction in the RNC that don't go along with the GOP-e, it's long past time the GOP-e libs are shown the door.

To put this all in perspective, one must remember that Article I of the Constitution entrusted control of the suffrage, even in Federal elections, to the States. The provision was that those entitled to vote in Federal elections be governed by the same standard as each State applied to the election of the more popularly elected branch of the State Legislature.
While the Constitution has been amended several times to limit the discretion of the States in this area, the time has long since come to push back in the opposite direction. By any objective metric, our electorates are now obviously less qualified than were those in the 19th Century. (Just look at the 30 second sound bite, in contrast to the debates in the era of Webster, Clay & Calhoun.)
Must we just sit back and watch the death of the American Republic, because of idiocy such as described in this article? For more on the issues: Universal Suffrage--Threat To Liberty.

Well said...It's time to take the whims of a president and corrupt AG such as Holder out of this as well. Especially when they ignore a SCOTUS ruling such as just took place regarding Sec 4 of the VRA.
Thanks for the link.

Whether this RNC activity ended after the PJ Tatler story was released on Friday, or when the Supreme Court ruled in June, or sometime before is unclear.
Yes, the RNC really did support federal preclearance oversight of state elections, just as Eric Holder does now. When this support ended is an unanswered question after the RNC on Friday unequivocally stated it opposes any fix to Section 4 that would place states such as Texas, South Carolina, and Virginia back under a federal boot. Thats good news.
According to the unequivocal position announced last Friday, any RNC effort to reactivate federal oversight of state elections under the Voting Rights Act is dead and buried.
PJ Media appears to be backing off from their original claim that...
RNC Operatives Join Eric Holders Campaign Against Texas, Several Other States
That being said, there is no excuse for the RNC's past activities. There hands are dirty.

That’s pure crap. The GOP are become nothing but political Judenrats - this article PROVES that.
The GOP Ruling Class HATES Conservatives as much as if not moreso than the MarxoFascists.
It’s way past time to declare Independence from the GOP Party plantation. The GOP serves the Democrats, PERIOD.

Agreed, it does look that way and the RNC’s are most surely dirty.
I’d bet the RNC is not happy with this piece from Adams. :-)

It's a very good piece by Adams. The RNC can't be happy about it. I can't imagine them pursuing PJM over this. What's their defense?
"Vote for us, we're not as crappy as we used to be!"

People who care only about power will do anything to keep it.
The fact that the GOP doesn’t publicly denounce White House spokesmen like McCain and Graham says plenty.

Thanks jazusamo, excellent article. The RNC has history supporting this and they got caught...HA....JCA was included in the RNC attack when he was not involved which makes his rebuttal even more sweet. The more light shown on the RNC will force them to declare who they really are...MORE please..
