Sen. Ted Cruz hasnt said whether he has presidential ambitions, but Sunday he won one of the first straw polls for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
The Texas Republican captured 45 percent of the 504 votes cast by attendees at the Western Conservative Summit, a day after drawing several standing ovations during his luncheon speech at the fourth annual conference.
We shall see what sort of crystal ball summiteers have in awarding that decisive nod to Sen. Ted Cruz, who was so magnificent from this platform, said John Andrews, founder of the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University, which hosted the event.
Placing second was Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who delivered the keynote address Friday at the three-day summit, with 13 percent of the vote.
Tied for third were Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, and former Rep. Allen B. West, Florida Republican, with 9 percent each. Mr. West was the conferences featured speaker Sunday, while Mr. Paul received the most votes among those on the ballot who didnt attend the conference.

If anyone sees anyone else that’s more conservative and more trustworthy, let me know.
To bad but the fact is Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen. He is not a Constitutional U.S. natural born Citizen as required by Article 2 Section 1, the presidential clause.
I’ll sure vote for this guy if i get the chance.
Since the media and Democrats are so big on “diversity” and all that, the Republicans can easily compete in this area.
Ted Cruz, Allen West, Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley, Sarah Palin, Susana Martinez, among others. All of these are women or ethnic minorities. In 2016 we may well face the media pushing Hillary to be elected as the historic first woman president. It would be nice to have someone in the GOP to blunt such a message.
Imagine a Sarah Palin vs. Hillary election. It would be nice to see the media explain why Sarah Palin would not be fitting as the first woman president, while they push Hillary for this role.
And this debate will go on and on about natural born citizenship. As I understand it, the courts have never ruled on exactly what natural born citizen means. And, unless someone starts a court challenge to Ted Cruz or anyone else on those grounds, realistically, nothing would keep such a person from running for president.
“To bad but the fact is Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen.”
Like that fact hasn’t stop a certain idiot from Kenya.
The argument that he is, in fact, natural born is a compelling one. He never ‘became’ a US citizen at a later time. He was born of an American mother and immediately was a US citizen. Either there is a record that he later was naturalized at some later point, or he wasn’t. If there is such a record, that might be different.
He’s my choice, but these stories mean less than nothing at this point. Zip, zero nada.

zzzzzz
Where was Cruz born, or his parents born?
Everyone repeat after me:
ALL STRAW POLLS ARE WORTHLES.
Even the ones whose results you like.
Heh...WORTHLESS.
Had my Beeber set wrong.
Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen
Then he is one up on Obama.
Cruz was born in Canada
His mother was born in the US of American citizen parents
His father was born in Cuba and was not an American citizen when he was born
Cruz was born in Canada

His father was born in Cuba and was not an American citizen when Ted was born
If that’s the case, Cruz definitely does not fulfill the natural born citizen as mentioned in the constitution. They would not address this for Obama, but I bet you they’d do it to Cruz.
Gee, going to extremes worked so well doing it over and over again has to be the way to go. Free republic, keeping dems in for for ever...
Will those who desire to stop him say he is not fulfill the requirements as Natural Born Citizen......
