A Bethesda man was beaten and robbed early Saturday morning in Adams Morgan by three men who yelled, “This is for Trayvon Martin,” before attacking him, police said.
The incident is being investigated as a hate crime and robbery, according to D.C. police spokesman Araz Alali.
Three black men approached an adult white male from behind while he was walking in the 1700 block of Euclid Street NW at 1:26 a.m. Saturday, police said.

No pattern? The victims are white, and the perps are black. I must be a grade A frickin' genius to be able to see that pattern....
These hate crime laws should be used against blacks, not just against whites. Glad to hear this. There is such hatred and racism in the black community, which we’re not supposed to say anything about.

Eric Holder already said in the first term that hate crime laws aren’t for whites. I’m surprised even one crime with black perps on a white is being charged as such.

Acually the victims can be anyone and the perpetrators are angry gangbangers.
It isn’t “blacks” in general.
Or even “young black men” in general.
Would you have trepidation around a young black man if he conjugates his verbs properly, dresses neatly, and talks knowledgeably about electronics or architecture?
This is a clash between the culture as a whole and a violent subculture. Not all blacks are part of said subculture and neither are all its adherents black.

Washington DC, particularly under Obama, is ground zero for racial politics. It’s been a local fact of life in DC for decades, but now Obama and Holder have taken it to the national leveling have seemingly given it their stamp of approval.

Just another day in DC, but now the Zimmerman verdict is the excuse to rob and maim. Something tells me the weeny preening liberals love reporting this kind of story because they feel smug knowing that whitey is getting a payback for the horribly racist verdict.
That's like the "Far Side" cartoon where the two old dogs are sitting on the porch in rocking chairs, watching the mail being delivered by a cat. "We're getting old, Zeke," says one to the other.
As a whole blacks are the most hateful, resentful, and racist group. Not just toward whites either.

I'm based out of DC and I worked in DC during the first Reagan administration. I wouldn't have gone walking around DC at 1:26 AM, even back then.
(Most conservatives/libertarians wouldn't. They generally have too much common sense. True, it's a free country (or was) you have every right to walk around any time of day you choose. But DC has a murder rate that's higher than any state. And nobody but a criminal is walking around at 1:26 AM with a gun in DC.)
