VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WFTV) -- A group of Trayvon Martin supporters walked from Jacksonville to Sanford, where they dedicated a memorial for the teen at a museum late Saturday afternoon.
The demonstrators arrived in Sanford late Friday, ending what they called the "Walk for Dignity," which started in Jacksonville.
The group held a community forum Saturday afternoon, followed by a dedication of the Trayvon Martin memorial at the Goldsboro Westside Historical Museum.
"The most important reason why we're here, we want a system that treats us equally," marcher Estefania Galvis said.
The group's six-day walk from Jacksonville to Sanford was organized to bring awareness of what it believes are injustices due to laws relating to stand your ground. It's an issue that hasn't quit since Zimmerman was found not guilty of murder in Martin's death.
Additionally, the group is calling for the resignation of State Attorney Angela Corey, who was the special prosecutor in the George Zimmerman case.
"She is the representative of the system that has failed us. That's the first step, we want a new system," Galvis said.
The marchers also went door-to-door in the Sanford community earlier on Saturday to egage and connect with local residents.
Ouch! That’s going to leave a mark!
Good point.
What?
No Eternal Flame?
Allegedly.... In the 513 days between the justifiable shooting death of this criminal and the verdict 11,106 African Americans were killed by other African Americans yet ....... We see this bullshit memorial to a criminal.
Blithering idiots promoting their own demise......
we want a new system
Translation NO LAWS
Article says it took them 6 days.
20+ miles in a day is a pretty darn good pace, especially in a FL summer. Keeping it up for 6 days requires that you be in excellent condition.
I suspect “the group walked,” if indeed they did at all, in the sense that they took turns walking one or two at a time while the others stayed in vehicles with AC.
Can someone please find for me where in the FL SYG law, it says it only applies to white or white/Hispanics who find themselves in a position to defend themselves? How stupid are people?? My God...
“If Trayvon was not shot dead he would be in jail.”
Ironically, if Trayvon had survived, Zimmerman would have ended up going to jail. A wounded Martin on the witness stand would have hurt Zimmerman.
Useful idiots...
The distance can fly by if you have a cool marching song...
Hoodies high, ranks closed
The homies march with pants slung low.
Comrades shot by the white hispanics
march in spirit with us in our ranks.
The street free for the brown battalions,
The street free for the grievance lords.
Millions, full of dope, look up at the skittles;
The day breaks for freedom and for skittles.
For the last time the lean will now be drunk;
For the struggle now we all stand ready.
Soon will fly Trayvon-flags over every street;
Old School will last only a short time longer.
Hoodies high, ranks closed,
The homies march with pants slung low.
Comrades shot by the white hispanics
march in spirit with us in our ranks.
It’s to the tune of a catchy little German number from the 30’s.
Doesn’t look like they have room for the Denver Five, but then they don’t give a sh... because they were just plain murdered by Obama’s Sons.
Police Say Victims In Murders At Feros Bar Were Stabbed
DENVER (CBS4) The five people who were found dead inside a Denver bar last month were stabbed to death.

I did not see your post before I posed..We have the same thoughts about this circus..
Marching with your pants slung low would be pretty inefficient.
Good job, BTW.
Now there's a blast from the past!
I still don't get what that memorial is supposed to symbolize in terms of it's design. It looks like a grave to me.
It also looks like a target for spray paint tagging... which, honestly, I hope doesn't happen, but I suspect will happen once the melodrama dies down.
I marvel sometimes at the mindset of some in the black community. They refused to believe anything negative about zero when he was running for president. Many of them called talk radio shows and made total fools out of themselves with their support and love the the ONE.
Sickening! God bless those blacks who have the courage and intellect to come out from among them!
Maybe the Zimmerman team can’t say anything at this point without jeopardizing their pending lawsuits???
