Wind Turbines ?
I for one have been hearing a hum in my head for the last 6 months... Which was alright because I was tired of the voices... Until the hum is now to the tune of It’s A Small World.... Someone please shoot me...
Younger people with better hearing can't hear it but us old geezers can. Interesting. Maybe it's something in their water, food supply, or air that screws up their hearing over a long time.
I don't hear a hum, just a gentle hiss from listening to too many chainsaws, snow blowers, and riding mowers without hearing protection.
This particular hum sounds to me like it could be the wind going over a rock formation in the mountains. My wife and I had an Acura that generated a similar noise when we were driving down the road at about 50 mph. It turned out to be a defective windshield being hit by the road wind.

I, my self, have pretty good hearing and while not loud or obtrusive almost everything hums: Computers, refrigerators, ventilation fans, trucks on the highway a mile away, power lines etc. Civilization just downright hums. Even lights make noise ( turn on a set of fluorescent lights on a cold day); I can hear from 20’ away in my office, if my wife turns on the lights in the kitchen, assuming there isn’t any noise to block it.
The only time it’s ever quite is when you are out in the country a long ways from the roads. Even then they seem to be planes passing overhead it feels like your in Lonely are the Brave.
That said I don’t know what these people are talking about maybe nature wants to get in on the act.
Dyna-Mo, Dyna-Mo, Dyna-Mo Hummmmmm

I thought it was a kind of hush.
hmmmm
I thought that was the Mother Ship trying to make contact with me.
There’s a kind of a hum all over the world..............
Observe the wildlife. If the sound does not seem to draw their attention, ignore it. It belongs there.
Mysterious, my ass!! That's the sound of bureaucrats and politicians lying to the people. Happens all over the world...continuously.

The Hum and the Shiver | Alex Bledsoe
I’m over 50 and under 60, and I heard it. It sounds like a sonic code to me. Almost like Morse code which I don’t know except that it goes long and short, which this seems to do. Has anyone checked it for that type of signaling? short short short long? It is not a steady hmmmmmmmmmmmmm or buzzzzzzzzzzz, it has alternation to it. There was also some other brief more localized noise which I took to be either the wind against the microphone or the way the microphone was being handled. Not sure what I make of it.
I have been told that this video contains a complete answer to this question.
