Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio warned in an op-ed on Thursday that there is mounting evidence Obamacare creates more problems than it solves and he called on lawmakers to stop the disastrous law from taking effect. It is time to admit that Obamacare isn't going to work, decide not to waste a single cent more on it, and replace it with market-based reforms that will give people more health insurance choices and options,
Rubio penned on the Fox News website. It's still not too late. This September may be our last best chance to do anything about this disastrous law. He accused President Barack Obama of not listening to the American people. Instead of giving more speeches, .........
The first-term senator said that we still have time to do something about this, pointing to an upcoming September deadline for Congress to pass a short-term spending bill to fund the federal government. We should pass one that keeps the government open, but doesn't waste any more money on Obamacare, according to Rubio, who said that the president and his allies, including some Republicans will accuse him of threatening to shut down the government. In fact, it is President Obama who insists on shutting down the government unless it funds his failed Obamacare experiment, said Rubio.

I’ve seen those stages before somewhere...probably on FR. :) Thank you for the reminder. Not sure what to do. Don’t think there’s any real way to prepare. Just have to live one day at a time and do a little bit of pretend head in the sand at times to cope.

Yes, because we can’t let it stress us out.
Our side won’t be surprised like the stupid low info. Sheeple.
LOL
From this FR article Rubio could have and should have broken ranks with the Gang of Eight to support those amendments but he didnt And theres a one word answer for the big question why he didnt.
Staff.
That srticle is saying, I think, that his staff reflects who he is, not the other way around, but that excerpt sounds ambiguous. It would is hard for me to swallow the notion that his staff tricked him. Did McCain "accidentally" appoint Juan Hernandez, the Mexican government agent, to his staff, not knowing what he was up to?
And yet many conservatives were so appalled at the prospect of Obama being POTUS that they tried to give McCain the benefit of the doubt.
SOL:He will run in 2016 and try to court Hispanics, but before that he will come up with lots of these empty tough sounding proposals that go no-where, to get his creds back with GOP voters,
Like McCain. SOL is on the money.
Are those conservatives who have been betrayed so predictably and often, so gullible that they will fall for the same swindle forever?
McCain and Rubio along with others are proof positive the states need to take their representation to task and pass recall initiatives - they are after all our representatives, if they are not representing their constituents they should be FIRED.
Rubio, Rubio, Rubio...
Good Lord these RINOs are dense.
Shut down the government and this dunce would slam Conservatives who thought that was the right thing to do.
Don’t shut it down and he says it should be shut down.
Witness what happened to Gingrich for doing the right thing. Did the RINOs stand behind him? No. In fact almost no one did.
How soon can Rubio be replaced?
One suspects that this weakie and insulting performance by Rubio was approved by BFF Schumer prior to release.
I forgot all about him.
He used to be on TV all the time during the 2006/2007 amnesty fight. Man he could smile.
While a few stalwarts might push for a while to defund or repeal Obamacare, most Repubs in the Senate are house-trained eunuchs. This will go nowhere.
bttt
” RE :Juan Hernandez,

I reserve a special kind of pure hatred for this guy.
” He will run in 2016 and try to court Hispanics, but before that he will come up with lots of these empty tough sounding proposals that go no-where, to get his creds back with GOP voters,
He is very crafty.”
Crafty? I suppose so, to the average person. I never trusted this clown. He wreaked of “slick, second tier law school politician” from the get go. of course, he’s not alone by any stretch. I say he takes the money, first. He is young enough to run later on.
I knew this guy was bad news as soon as Hannity got a hard on for him.
Republicans don't have to shut down the Government, the Dems will gladly do it.
It's time for the Rats to show bi-partisanship, LMBO I kill me.
One game the Government seems to like is not playing any role in bad laws, by allowing
unelected appointed officials to make "rules" and regulations for them. EPA is one.
” I knew this guy was bad news as soon as Hannity got a hard on for him.”
LOL! A good way to look at it.
He soiled his thong while dancing to “It’s Raining Men.”
