House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi delivered a rhetorical body-slam Thursday morning to New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner and San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, calling their lewd conduct 'reprehensible.'

But she stopped short of calling for either of her fellow Democrats to withdraw from their high-stakes and high-profile political lives.

'Let me be very clear,' Pelosi told reporters. 'The conduct of some of these people that we are talking about here is reprehensible. It is so disrespectful of women.'

'What's really stunning about it is that they don't even realize it. They don't even have a clue! If they are clueless, get a clue. If they need therapy, do it in private.'

The men who seek to pleasure themselves this way are only proving how unable they are to have a meaningful, solid relationship with a woman in real life. They use women, and don't respect them one bit.

As for the women who seem to eagerly engage in this same behavior...shame on them for being so willing to be used in this manner. How insecure they must be, also.

Certainly neither party has a good image of themselves, or high standards. Both are willing to degrade, and be degraded for the sake of what...a cheap thrill?

And, never think that Weiner just started to behave this way with his Tweets that were discovered last year. One does not suddenly become perverted. I am sure he has a history of scouring the Internet for porn sites and engaging in sex chats for years before Huma. It is a nasty illness, not usually cured by therapy. Ask any professional analyst who has dealt with these people. Sexual perversions, sex talk with strangers, exchanging lewd and suggestive photos on line, etc. that become part of one's continued lifestyle with numbers of women (or men, or both) are signs of a very deep rooted problem of insecurity and need for power and control.

Weiner was caught, probably after years of enjoying himself as both a participant and voyeur - he has not changed his desires.

For a man who knows what he is doing and has done to try and reclaim a public office shows he is willing to, again, put his wife through more degradation. As for his wife, she has mixed love with desperation and a belief in what she wishes she had in a marriage. A good relationship does not exist, no matter how much she stands by her man. He will never, can never, and should never be trusted by her. He has a form of narcissism that is centered on sexual activities, and also an obvious dislike for women, whom he regards as objects for his personal pleasure, nothing more.

But...their plans for political acclaim seem to be more important than what she is showing other women, and how little she respects herself.

I believe you. The proof is that Weiner continued with his online trysts even after being forced to step down from office, and embarrassing himself and his wife.

There's no doubt the man's got a terrible mental illness. What truly makes it stand out in sharp relief, is that he's got the nerve to run for public office, knowing that these sordid reports would likely surface. That shows a level hubris (or just plain degradation) that is breathtaking.
