The Pig has nothing to do with “The Wall” though, it’s taken from “Animals”, where the pigs represent the ruling class.
Perhaps even back then, Waters was projecting himself in that role.....he based the Wall character on how he felt during that Animals tour, and how angry he actually became towards the audience.
Well, it does, and it doesn’t. Those lyrics were originally meant to be a sarcastic portrayal of neo-fascists. He was lampooning people like that, not endorsing them. So, it’s ironic that, after many years, he has become the type of guy he was making fun of.
