There has been talk about having a new party, some have called it the Freedom Party. If there were to be a Freedom Party what would be the party platforms?
Here are some thoughts that I have and I would welcome your suggestions.
1) Based on the Constitution 2) Government that serves not rules people 3) Restoring power to the individual citizen, towns and states 4)Respect for life from conception to natural death 5) Respects moral institutions based on the Ten Commandments 6) Respect for the hard earned money of the tax payers 7) Protecting self defense and 2nd Ammendment rights 8) An immigration policy that is based on what is good for Americans
yes. another person who gets what is happening to the GOP. it is becoming libertarian.
Still want to keep Tea Party...can they be 2 sides of one coin?

You are correct. The election laws in the US, unlike those in Europe, make it very difficult for 3rd parties to compete.
Bet let's suppose for a moment that there could be a viable 3rd party. That would be a dream scenario for the Democrats! They'd love it!
Because there will be some conservatives who will be upset with the GOP and go 3rd party. And there will be some conservatives who will be upset with the 3rd party and stay with the GOP.
End result? The dem's win every election of any importance.
The only way out is to somehow replace the current GOP elite. Palin had a shot at that, but for various reasons it didn't happen.
So I'm just hoping another Palin or Reagan appears on the national scene. I can't see any other solution that works.
Could Freedom Party take the place of Republican party?
Primary out RINOe and replace with FP candidates.

This is what I wrote in 2010, I believe, with regard to the Tea Party. I still believe that this is what we need:

We are comprised of persons from all political venues, from all parts of the country, from all races and genders, all ages with the above issues special to our hearts foremost in our minds as we start the process of cleaning house.
Cleaning house the likes of which has never been seen. On both sides of the aisle. We don’t have the time or the desire to fight amongst ourselves.
Our focus should be laser sharp and pointed at any element in any area of government that does not represent the Constitution or the freedom of American people.” —MWESTMOM 2010
A little wordsmithing to make it absolutely clear:
1) ABIDE BY AND ENFORCE the Constitution
2) Government that IS LIMITED TO SERVING not DICTATING TO people
3) Restore power to the individual citizen, towns and states 4) PROTECT life from conception to natural death
5) Respect moral institutions based on the Ten Commandments 6) LIMIT SPENDING TO WHAT THE GOVERNMENT TAKES IN. ALL TAX INCREASES ARE TO VOTED ON NATIONALLY.
7) Protect self defense and MAINTAIN 2nd Amendment rights
8) ENFORCE immigration policy that REWARDS THOSE WHO COME HERE LEGALLY AND DEPORTS THOSE WHO COME ILLEGALLY.
Just my two cents.
And for the NSA trolls, FU.
Dismantling the ability of the Federal Bureaucracy to produce rules with the force of law which have never had an up-or-down vote in the Congress.

*Overturn Obamacare
*Fix Healthcare with free market competition
*NO on Abortion
*NO on Euthanasia
*NO on Amnesty for illegal immigrants- Yes on legal immigration
*NO on Homosexual Marriage- Yes on Family Values
*NO on Affirmative Action- Yes on performance based equal treatment
*NO on ‘Social Justice’ (socialism)- Yes on Equal Justice under the law
*NO on Perpetual Welfare- Yes on a reasonable and limited Social Safety Net
*NO on wasteful investment in high speed Rail, Wind and Solar Energy-
*Yes on Drilling in ANWR and Offshore, Clean Coal, Fracking and Energy Independence
*Anthropogenic Global Warming is a hoax- Climate Change has been part of earth’s history for millennia
*Intelligent Profiling for terrorist threats
*Protect Social Security- Choice of investment vehicle- Means testing
Principled societal framework must not compromise to accommodate the whims of society’s members it regulates. Society’s members must compromise themselves to live within the proven structure or else dystopian anarchy results.
It would be nice to have a viable 2nd party. What passes for Party #2 is just a sect of the ruling party, perfectly willing to moan and groan, but not really interested in governing.
It’s all bread and circuses anyway, just meant to placate the rabble and nothing ever changes.
And for the NSA trolls, FU.
We don’t need legal immigration, we need to end the colonization of America period. It really makes little difference if the next 100 or 500 million foreigners are legal or not, it still is a tidal wave that we cannot Americanize, and they will still vote democrat.

I believe we need leaders who will appoint administrators who will follow the leaders and support them.
Zero immigration policy would shoot ourselves in the foot. We need engineers, doctors, technicians and American citizens are not graduating with those degrees in sufficient numbers to fill the positions needed. Unrestricted immigration and America will be overwhelmed. Zero immigration and America will not be able to grow or soon function. We need a slow growth immigration policy that favors occupations we need and allows time for integration and assimilation into American culture.

It would look like a waste of votes. We need to take over or replace the current party. We don’t need a vote splitting (dem-electing) party.
