CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (Jan. 14, 2008) The first major snowfall of the New Year blankets the USS Constitution. Despite the weather "Old Ironsides," remained open for free public tours. At 210 years-old, USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world, manned by 67 active-duty United States Sailors and visited by nearly half a million visitors annually. I took an extended lunch today and went to the East side of the Capitol for the unrolling of the Special Ops Speaks Petition for appointment of a Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi debacle.

I heard several excellent speakers, including LTC Allen West:



I walked up to Col West at the end of the presentation and shook his hand. He is the real deal as far as I'm concerned and I would be delighted if he decides to run for national office.
