I don’t know if he’s going to suck Russian blood. But they are a waste of space and money. Never understood why the Common Wealth puts up with them, the primary purpose they serve is done by C list celebrities in America, they’re handy for ribbon cuttings at grocery stores and malls, but they cost a lot more.

"They're handy for ribbon-cutting.....but they cost a lot more."

You must live in a cave. For a couple of centuries British royals have brought in billions just by virtue of being there and who they are.

Their romances, babies, scandals, weddings, divorces, funerals, coronations, blunders, jubilees, castles, carriages, pomp and circumstances, changings of the guard, crown jewels exhibits, you name it......have brought tourists by the millions to "this scepter'd isle" over time.

In a small island with few natural resources except the resilience of its people, the British national income generated by royals looms large in the country's economy.

My cousin, a British born citizen is retired in a London suburb after a career as an opera singer. He told me the world-famous Covent Garden Opera house is continually jammed with tourists.

By contrast, our country's royal families, disingenuously called "dynasties", generate no such interest or income by their celebrity, in fact, they probably repel tourists who would rather see a Florida highway alligator farm than catch views of the Emperor Obama, his consort Michelle Antoinette, his court of thugs and his 38 royal Czars.

Were you weaned on a pickle, too? Celebrate the birth of a baby to a couple who will love it and care for it. The cup is ALWAYS half-full; never half-empty.

*sheesh*
