Holder, Trayvon Martin’s mom to speak on voting rights, civil rights at conference in Philly

PHILADELPHIA — The mother of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will speak in Philadelphia at the National Urban League’s annual conference, which will focus on civil rights, voting rights and job creation.

The four-day event, which begins Wednesday, comes less than a month after the Supreme Court struck down a key provision of the Voting Rights Act and not long after the man who shot Martin was acquitted in the racially charged case....

Her employer initially gave her time off for the trial...along with $40,000 plus....then they got the 2 mil settlement... also have the Foundation site which generates funds for merchandise bearing Trayvons name..which she has rights to the use of his name...also passing the bucket at various rallies etc. Not to mention TV interview fees etc by both the mother and father together and seperatly.
