LOL! Some are 11 ounces!

Great, thoughtful reply and I agree 100%! I love McDonalds coffee and, at least where I live, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

No one left in America can afford much of anything except for on the Dollar Menu - including me. Me too.

According to wikipedia the patty was reduced 20% in 2011, but I think it was being trimmed down even before then.

I believe it. I don't go often, but when I did, I'd order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal with a diet coke and a fish sandwich. That single meal would last me all day.

Last month, for the first time ever, that was over $10 bucks! Haven't been back since.

Some discrepancies between your comment and my experiences:

The Premium McWrap is a winner... clever packaging, fairly decent value.

No one buys them here. Costs too much.

The fish sandwiches... the breaded fish fillet measures 2-1/4” by 3” about the size of a business card.

That isn't the case here. Probably a regional difference (east/west?). Here they are what you'd consider normal size.

I spend a lot of time in Sweden. I just got back a few days ago. The packages there are getting bigger while ours are shrinking. What's that tell you?

A lot of stuff I just do not bother buying anymore. Or sometimes, I will just get the store brand instead because the package is a normal size.

They should have gotten a fresh cup of chili, put the finger in it and made her finish it!

Price would be about the only thing that would make me think twice.

Think about how they put extra taxes on cigarettes to discourage smoking (aka “social engineering”). Expect them to tax your fast food “for your own good.”

I actually never ever get them because I don't like soybean oil sauces, but I intentionally bought a Big Mac the other day. In taking the sandwich apart to investigate, I found they are using the McDouble patties that are about the size of a pickle slice. On the "Flagship" Big Mac sandwich?

I am serious... I was all like... uh... Where's the beef?

I’ll try to check out if the A&W root beer is still available at my nearby Shakey’s but back in canada, it’s still around as A&W burger. I also noticed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish sign behind the drinks bar LOL. Yeah, it’s different from American Shakey’s.

I've been to McD's in 9 different countries outside the US and what I conclude is that the management of MD is smart -- they tune their outlet for a particular target customer and focus-focus-focus.

For instance in India they can't compete with the local snack foods, so they go a little "up market" and market themselves as a fun place to take the kids (very important in crowded Indian cities) -- their menu is also ZERO beef, ZERO pork and lot's of vegetarian options. And they do very well

In Poland their outlets are strategically placed at cross-roads, off the highways and at busy points, perfect for a quick meal. And their prices are competitive but slightly higher than the cheapest (milk bars) options AND they have "kebab wraps" in their menu (kebab is popular here).

In England they are cheap and quick like the US

In France they hide their M symbol and make their outlets a little more "artistic"

In Hong Kong their menu is quite localised -- even have noodles!

these guys are good, they localize their menus and even their USP. In Western Europe their aim is cheap, quick and open even on Sundays (remember that in Germany everything else is closed on Sundays). In Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Asia, it is clean and dependable quality.

Subways is also following the same route.

Burger King isn't able to localize anywhere near as well (though if I do enter a burger place, my first choice is BK as I love it's flame-grilled burgers) and ditto KFC.

Fun to look at their entire menu--all kinds of different things, even some of the desserts. :) http://www.mcdonaldsindia.net/burgers-and-wraps.aspx

My sister is in a memory care unit. Twice a week I'll take her in a couple of burgers from Mickey D's. That's what she wants that what I get her. I've noticed though that their menu is now nearly impossible too decipher. Fast Food for most people means they want to easily see what the place has and the price. If I want healthy alternatives for myself I usually go to a Subway. Oddly enough their menus are real reader friendly.

The Wendy's Chicken Caesar Wrap. Order three. That should hit the spot!

Three cost about what one McD Premium Wrap goes for, but they're just the good parts, without the unnecessary extra wrapping and extra margin!

Wendy’s revenge: 2005’s finger-in-chili hoaxster is back behind bars June 5, 2013

Anna Ayala during her 2006 trial for planting a severed finger in a bowl of Wendy's chili in a scheme to extort money from the fast-food chain. Ayala was sentenced to nine years. She got out after four years.
