Arizona Sen. John McCain says his home state should review its "stand-your-ground" law in the wake of George Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.
The Republican senator said he trusted the jury's judgment in the case, but added Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" that the law "may be something that needs to be reviewed."
Does he think that applies to Arizona?
"Yes, I do and Im confident that members of the Arizona legislature will," McCain said.
He said he did not share Sen. Ted Cruz's view that President Obama's remarks on "stand-your-ground" laws represented another administration approach to gun control.
"I respect his view, but I dont frankly see the connection," McCain said of his Texas Republican colleague.

Consider the source....McCain has lost what little sane brain he had left!!! What a waste this McCain dude has turned out to be!!! Sickening!!!
McCain, Durbin, Holder, Obama; all you Federal officials keep your lame, incompetent asses out of State Law!
They'll find Hoffa before they find McCain's brain.
Oh, shut up, John.
“I respect his view, but I dont frankly see the connection,” McCain said of his Texas Republican colleague.”
Of course you wouldn’t John, because your just as anti-gun as Obama.
The only reason this fool doesn’t join the Democrat party is because he’d be thrown out on his ass in the next election.
Oh, and Johnnie, for the 10 thousandth time, the Zimmerman case had NOTHING to do with “Stand Your Ground”.
Idiot.
I don’t know a single southern Arizonan who’s ever voted for him for his cushy Senate job. He hates most of us and openly scorns and has his staff argue with we the people. (He and his staff are the country’s greatest supporters of wide open borders.)
From what I understand, it’s Sun City (retirement area) and a lot of other areas around Phoenix where he has people really fooled (and/or paid off). And, like Luke said - lots of Dem fans too.

“In what officials caution is now a dangerous and even deadly crime wave, Phoenix, Arizona has become the kidnapping capital of America, with more incidents than any other city in the world outside of Mexico City and over 370 cases last year alone....In fact, kidnappings and other crimes connected to the Mexican drug cartels are quickly spreading across the border, from Texas to California. The majority of the victims are either illegal aliens or connected to the drug trade.”

Me-too McCain screams, “Look at me!”
If he were wily, he would just change the name, like from "Stand Your Ground" to "Self-Defense Civil Rights Act". Easy.
If it was due to old age, would he tend to bend every way but right, except for on defense? Though even there, it is hard to know what is conservative or liberal anymore.
“Hes buckin for Jay Carneys job.”
I’m thinking more like Reggie Love’s
He has always been an ass. Ask anybody who knew him in the Naval Academy and the Navy. He was a hot dog who disregarded all the rules and thought he was all that because of who his father and grandfather were. He graduated at the very bottom of his class and then his entire Naval career consisted of crashing airplanes.
STFU, you evil, old, lying, traitorous man.
McCain be all eat up with the dumb ass.
You are correct that the Zimmerman case was strictly a self-defense case and had nothing to do with SYG. McCain is just a pandering old fool.
And the Republicans begin to join the choir..... /sigh
IS there no way to shut this guy up. We like our Stand-Your-Ground law just fine, and don’t come meddling in our state laws - stick to what you are knowledgeable about: Money in politics. I voted for this clown rather then the RAT candidate - but no more. Next time around his box will be blank.
What’s to review? Worked as intended.
Yep, last year when the batman movie killer shot all those people, sure would have different results if someone stood their ground during that event and blasted that jerk away before he killed and wounded so many people.
