One week after a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, people gathered for nationwide rallies to press for changes to self-defense laws and for federal civil rights charges against the former neighborhood watch leader.
The Florida case has become a flashpoint in separate but converging national debates over self-defense laws, guns, and race relations. Zimmerman, who successfully claimed self-defense, identifies as Hispanic. Martin was black.

It is alarming that people are agitating against the idea of self-defense, which is a fundamental human right, and in doing so are rallying around the memory of someone who died in the course of committing an assault.
I have avoided all news today to get away from all this crap but am curious if turn out was big for these stupid rallies. Anybody know? Hope that’s true about the LA “riot”
There was this “protest” a few days ago that congregated at the park across the street from my house..they called it “The March through Beverly Hills” 20 people showed up..no issues, they didnt go through any residential areas..the media may want people to believe there are “Large gatherings taking place” but its not the case..most people who have lives don’t give a damn about this verdict, its only the loons who have their Che t-shirts and are Occupy freaks who are using this for their own Anti Capitalist agenda
I’m thinking this one is done run in the ground. Great Leader and the faithful keep changing the batteries, but everyone I know is tired of watching the little mechanism zing and beep around the floor. The gnat-sized American attention span also has its bad side for the left. How long can the media keep convincing even the lowest of the brows that Trayvon is still the most important / interesting story?

The Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, CBC protest effort was a massive failure, bust and dud combined. I do think the whole country sham protests amounted to no more then a few thousand Obama incited Black racist malcontents and American haters!!! It might be worth investigating what kind of parenting Trayvon experienced. . . little to late now for the parents to be showing a united front as parents for Trayvon. Exactly who was responsible for his upbringing.
