We have listened to President Obama's comments about the verdict in the Zimmerman Case. People are focusing on this quote: "Trayvon Martin could've been me 35 years ago." To focus on this one line misses the nuances of the President's message, which includes comments about how African Americans view the Zimmerman Case in the context of the history of racial disparity in America.
For more than a year, we have been listening to the conversation about this case – from voices on every side – and we have become very sensitive to the racial context that surrounds this case. We acknowledge Mr. Obama's remarks regarding the frustration felt by some when viewed in context of our nation's history, which includes racial insensitivities spanning generations, and existing even today, including within our criminal justice system.
While we acknowledge and understand the racial context of this case, we challenge people to look closely and dispassionately at the facts. We believe those who look at the facts of the case without prejudice will see that it is a clear case of self-defense, and we are certain that those who take a closer look at the kind of person George Zimmerman is – something we understand the Department of Justice is currently doing – we are confident they will find a young man with a diverse ethnic and racial background who is not a racist, a man who is, in fact, sensitive to the complex racial history of our country.
It takes courage to talk about race. It took courage for our President to address the Zimmerman Case and candidly discuss how and why people are upset by the verdict. We would like to

.For certain since the not guilty verdict has been rendered the facts of this case are still being concealed by the media such as not using pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins.
Many Neigborhood Watch areas consist of modest dwellings including the one Zimmerman was a “watch captain” in.His was a mini US melting pot which includes a number of black families which banded together and set up patrols to protect their area. In this case they were struggling with single and groups of young blacks from other “hoods” on the prowl., In some instances armed, preying on homeowners in his area.

Usually such neighborhood watch areas are posted with a window or garden sign announcing that fact and those patrols will observe any one; black,white, green, or blue and sometimes even stop and question them. ..That fact and the area wasn’t even examinined by any of the so called media because it wouldn’t fit their agenda if true journalisim existed, because it couldn’t support any racial assertion..
It might even explain Zimmerman’s action taken during his surveilance of Martin because this watch volunteer got out of his car and continued his observation on foot because he lost sight of Martin. In many watch areas that’s done frequently when the subject disappears from view they may leave their vehicle and continue surveilance on foot.. ....
According to the testimony there was an exchange after which Zimmerman was going back to his vehicle when Martin attacked him and was severly beating him to the extent he feared for his life. To put it bluntly Saint Trayvon was a smart ass punk who messed with a guy with a gun and got killed .
Even after learning the shooter was a staunch Obama supporter, not Jewish, and a very dark skinned “hispanic” Obama did nothing to curtail the hyperbole or tone down his edict creating this as a racist episode. Obama the boss of bosses and gets all the information about anybody.He ignored Zimmerman’s defence of a homeless black maltreated by a local police officer which resulted in the disciplining of the offending officer at Zimmermans insistance .
The socialists controlling the media propaganda machine oblidged.. They began claiming the exclusive “gated” neighborhood watch captain was a “white hispanic” . used a picture of a 12 year old Martin instead of the 6 foot 165 pound person he was vs the smaller 140 pound lttle fatty neighborhood watch captain. Worse yet allowed his US Attorney General to use questionable activities to promote a show trial and ignored using a threat of prosecution to black militant groups threatening the watch captain’s life.
Do not confuse todays politicians and their ahearants in the press and academia as followers of “Liberalism”. . These are die hard God denying I’m right you’re wrong socialists incapable of independent thinking running todays media.. Devising political campaigns of lies and manipulated inflamatory languange disguised as “news or reliable information” designed to destroy any opponent or group to what is edict-ed by their leader. You must wind up goose-stepping in unison protecting the collective otherwise we will through the use of government step on you and squash you like some insect.. Until the quashers are quashed this will continue..
I wouldn’t see Z’s lawyers short. They ran circles around the prosecution.
They have maintained from the start that the justice system should be untainted by politics. To jump into the political fray now would be hypocritical.

Yes, classy response. For those of you who are not satisfied they did not not directly criticize the President———if you look very closely to what they wrote, with more intelligence than our President can bring to bear, you can find some very satisfying sarcasm in how they expressed things that is a message about the lack of class exhibited by our President and his complete ignorance of the actual facts of the case. It is the core of the nuances - he reminded Blacks how bad they've had it and how Whitey is the enemy from out of the mists of the past. The speech a real president would give in this situation would not be full of nuances and subtleties - these are only used when one wants some sort of way to claim deniability when things go to hell.
