Des Moines, Iowa — Paul Ryan, the 2012 Republican vice-presidential nominee, will headline a prominent Republican dinner in Iowa this fall, a visit that is sure to stoke talk of a potential presidential bid.

According to Iowa governor Terry Branstad, Ryan will deliver the keynote speech at the governor’s birthday party in November. Last year, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida spoke at the event.

Branstad, in an interview at his capitol office, says he’s excited to welcome back Ryan to the Hawkeye State. “He’s a key player in the House and I like him a lot,” he says. “I enjoyed campaigning with him last year. He’s a good guy.”

Branstad says his birthday bash will be held at Adventureland, a theme park in Altoona, Iowa. It’s famous for its fried food, water rides, and the Tornado, a large wooden roller coaster.

Ryan’s appearance will be his first in Iowa, the home of the first-in-the-nation caucuses, since the election. Until now, he has avoided making trips that would hint at a possible run...

Ryan's political stock with the base has plummeted since he:

a) proved himself to be a complete bore in the campaign;
b) came out for gay adoption (?!?!?!?!); and
c) IS TRYING TO SPEARHEAD AMNESTY IN THE HOUSE!

He’s the same kind of pathological liar as Rubio.

Did he ever get the correct time for his marathon run? That big whopper was/is a give away for the mentality he possess.

I am a pretty big Ryan fan, and was very happy he was picked to be VP. But he is tainted by his association with Mittens.. Still a good guy, but I’d rather he go make a difference in congress.

Unfortunately, many had hope for Rubio
who turned out to be an Amnesty-Pimp
from the Romney-Rove wing of ‘conservative’ Impostors.

After his amnesty push, he should continue to do so.

Ditto.... They must all get dipped in the corruption tank. Have never been so disgusted with GOP politicians in all my life. This country is going to hell.

Between his pimping for amnesty and his support for homo adoption, I can say with vociferous certainty that there is no way in hell Ryan will ever get my vote.

In fact, as much as I loathed and distrusted Romney, I think I have even more anger and irritation towards Ryan, as he was so duplicitously sold as the ‘sturdy/conservative’ balance to the ticket. Played us for suckers, the whole rancid ticket. Just as bad as Marco “Judas Goat” Rubio. Just thinking about it all makes me want to put my fist through the wall! Damn these backstabbing bastards!

Iowa is home to many meatpacking plants and farms where lots of illegals are employed.

Double-dog Dittos! I’m convinced that there is something in the air or water in DC that corrupts everyone — even those who go there with good intentions and high morals. Maybe it is ooze emanating from the walls of congress due to the RAT-lib-commies being in power for so many years.

I wonder if the servers of this dinner will be able to speak English.
