Marco Rubio Paid $3 Million to Betray His Supporters and Push Through Amnesty

Stand With Arizona

Judas had his price: 30 pieces of silver.

Marco Rubio also had his price for betrayal, but it was considerably higher.

In 2010 Marco Rubio portrayed himself as tough on borders and illegal aliens to gain massive Tea Party support to win himself a Senate seat. Here is basically all you need to know about that from a 2010 debate, trying to frame rival and former Republican Charlie Crist as soft on amnesty:

RUBIO: "First of all, earned path to citizenship is basically code for amnesty. It's what they call it....America cannot be the only country in the world that does not enforce its immigration laws. It is unfair to the people that have legally entered this country to create an alternative pathway for individuals who entered illegally and knowingly did so. If you do that, you will never have a legal immigration system that works....No one is going to follow the law if there is an easier way to do it."

Of course we all know what happened: a massive, naked betrayal of his base in order to pimp Chuck Schumer's 'Gang of 8' bill to his fellow Republicans while lying to talk show hosts and their audiences across America.  Rubio was even caught telling different lies to English and Spanish-speaking audiences.

He succeeded, and the bill passed the Senate. But this betrayal has come at a huge cost to his support among his base.  In just the past 4 months, Rubio's support among likely Republican voters has dropped by 16 points, and he has fallen to 4th place in early Iowa presidential polls. In Florida, there is even a (legally dubious) move afoot to recall him.

But while Rubio may have paid a price in political support , he was being rewarded by open borders lobbyists and Big Business for putting their interests ahead of the American people. As CNN reported:

In the second quarter of 2013, Rubio brought in $3 million - up 31% from his haul in the first three months of the year, according to a source familiar with his financial reports. That brings Rubio's cash on hand to nearly $3 million.
This is an unprecedented quarterly fundraising rush for a Senator who doesn't have to run again for another 3 years.

RE :”RINOs are wolves in sheeps’ clothing. Each of them are just one pinch away from being full-fledged democrats.
Rubio will be funded by the GOP and RNC no doubt. Like McCain and Romney before him, money donated to him will go down the political toilet (deservedly so). “

Rubio is more charismatic, much better looking and sharper then McCain and Rubio were. And he's got the Hispanic card while being a white establishment neocon.. He is dangerous.

But yes I see those same similarities that you cite.

Well then, they can vote for him in his next election. The Republican base sure won't.

How could Rubio be this stupid?

He wasn't stupid. He was just a liar and a phony all along. He thought that WE were the stupid ones.

The soon-to-be-FORMER-Senator Rubio must think that we are pretty stupid; and that we have poor memories.

I bet enough Americans chip in (legal amounts, of course) to Mister Rubio's opponent, that the 3 mil will look like like it never even happened.

The GOP has gone corporate. They have no time for taxpaying constituents that make up the base of the party.

Stupid? What makes you thin he’s stupid? Maybe he just has a different agenda than we do.

This is how he will keep his job. He will go to every elected official in FL and tell them he will give them money and support . Once they are lined up the county party officials will get the primary voters in line. All that money and support will scare off any primary challengers.

Sadly he will be a Senator as long as he wants to be.

Anyone that is for Amnesty is for a communist Coup of the United States.

Well, it looks like that already happened but if normal, traditional Americans are still holding onto the rim of the toilet bowl against the quickening swirl of sewage, the amnesty bill would be like stomping on their fingers.

By the way, there are MANY ways to pay off political, and personal money to Rubio/Ryan. You don’t need cash all the time. There are as many ways to pay off politicians, as there are ways for a bartender to steal from the owner.

I am more worried about stopping amnesty, than I give a hoot about Rubio’s future, or ANY pols future. If we don’t stop these whores rom passing amnesty, 2014, or 2016 don’t amount to a hill of beans. We done!

But what if after Obama signs the amnesty bill most Hispanics change their party from D to R ??

Then Rubio wins 2016 in a landslide(POTUS) for stabbing us in the back. Oh wouldn't that be grand?

Not saying that would ever happen, but Rubio says they are conservatives..

Currently, 15 states allow illegal aliens to pay in-state tuition, even though this is a direct violation of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton. If S. 744 becomes law, millions of illegal aliens who were previously ineligible for in-state tuition will suddenly have to right to claim it.

Not only would states lose income by being forced to subsidize the tertiary education of illegal aliens, these illegal aliens would also take hard-earned spots from legal immigrants and U.S. students. University budgets lose out, and so do hard-working American students.
