Cuba has said missiles and fighter jets found buried under sacks of sugar on a ship bound for North Korea were being sent to the secretive state to be repaired. The Caribbean nation admitted last night that it owned the military equipment and said it was due to be returned to the island once repairs had been completed. [Snip] The 35 man crew--made up of North Koreans--tried to resist arrest by rioting with the authorities. The ship, which has been identified as the 14,000-ton Chong Chon Gang, was carrying missiles and other arms ´hidden in containers underneath the cargo

So Cuba has sunken so low that they can’t even repair their own aircraft?

Has Obama protested the Panamanian incursion against peaceful socialist activities yet?
Has the UN voted for sanctions against Panama?

So Cuba has sunken so low that they cant even repair their own aircraft?Very telling given that Cuban mechanics keep 1950's era cars running.

So Cuba has sunken so low that they cant even repair their own aircraft? Especially equipment that close to 60 years old. More likely is that Castro is fobbing off his obsolete crap on the Norks and probably overcharging them for it.

Outsourcing aircraft repair is comprehensible. Outsourcing aircraft repait to North Korea is not.

Seems like it would be much easier to fly in a few mechanics and techs.

It is like the military equivalent of those "Buy Here, Pay Here" car dealers.

I was wondering what that was in my sugar bowl. Damned things don’t dissolve in hot coffee either.

I can believe they were being sent for repair as easily as I can believe Trayvon was frightened of being raped.

Old Mig-21 Fishbeds? Along with SA-2 surface to air missiles and their associated Fan Song radar systems. All stuff that was first introduced in the late 50's and early 60's.

I wonder how many of the 35 will beg for asylum to stay alive rather than be returned to face the little morons wrath.
The captain could read the cards and tried to off himself, it wasn’t their fault but I bet none of them will be alive by this time next year.

There are reasons why we don't allow Cuban exports in this country. Stop buying sugar in Canada!

That’s the stuff Tom Harkin was up against in his autobiography, “Wings Over Hanoi.”

What would NK want with that old crap? Are his plans to send out obsolete crap until we run out of missiles to shoot them down?

Cuba is desperate for cash and N. Korea has the counterfeit US Dollar plates and presses running to provide it. Better check those notes, Raúl.
