The CDC has quickly removed a page from their website, which is now cached here, admitting that more than 98 million Americans received one or more doses of polio vaccine within an 8-year span when a proportion of the vaccine was contaminated with a cancer causing polyomavirus called SV40. It has been estimated that 10-30 million Americans could have received an SV40 contaminated dose of the vaccine.

So I went over to the glass shop a couple of hours ago and told the secretary about this. She said “Don’t get me started”, and then proceeded to tell me her husband is an inventor, working on a water purification system. Said he is always testing the water. She said he told her there is plutonium in our water supply around here. The Snake River aquifer. I don’t doubt it. They buried a lot of radioactive stuff out there on the INL.

Yep. Swimming pools were thought to be sources for spreading polio. I remember this, because I was afraid to put my face in the water, fearing the polio would seep into my ears, nose and eyes!

Yep, and I have Leukemia. I thought I just contracted it because I never smoked, did drugs or drank. Silly me.

eradicating something like polio is great - it was the misunderstanding of the lab personnel that created vaccines in open air and free flow air labs that led to contamination...

I wonder if “processed foods” in the US Diet was the leading cause of cancer rates in the US - those foods with preservatives - meats that were laced with other chemicals - basically a very poor diet which we see even now & people relying more on convenience than whole foods...and there’s always the ones that have the conspiracy theory (which look more real than not) that a bunch of top end govt. personalities saw that there would be an explosion in population and increase in poverty and war!

Ah, did you get the wrong chart then? That one says cancer DEATH rates are decreasing, not cancer itself...
