In the wake of the George Zimmerman acquittal, the singer said he would not be performing in the Sunshine State until its Stand Your Ground law is "abolished." He also said he would not be performing in any other state that recognizes the law, which some say contributed to Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, 2012.

Steve Wonder parading his left wing views ... brings ironic meaning to the phrase “the blind leading the blind.”

So, “Stand Your Ground” was the problem...
I won’t go into the obvious - that this could not possibly be a SYG case...
But, it DOES point out what REALLY upsets the left - standing up to thuggery instead of cowering and running away.
Now, is it because cowering and running away is what THEY would do and are ashamed if someone else does not?
Or is it that they don’t want us to stand up to them instead of cowering in fear of their wielding of power?
A little of both, probably.

Stevie Wonder Boycotting Florida Following Zimmerman Verdict
That's another positive outcome from this Zimmerman case.
Florida will now have to fill those empty stadium dates with some better and more current talent.
All states will now have a huge incentive to get stand-your-ground laws.

Ya know...I loved his music for years and considered him a musical genius. I thought he was of a higher mind as he professed not to 'see' color or race. He was my generation's dreamer for a better society where color was not an issue.
But then Obama got elected. Stevie has been a huge supporter of Obama's. I thought this was odd. Did someone tell him that Obama was black? It certainly couldn't be Obamna's rhetoric and policies that convinced him.
Nope. Deep down...or perhaps just under the skin, Stevland Hardaway Morris is a racist.
And now this most recent puke from him seals the deal. I have wiped all of his music from my library. When I can lay my hands on my old LPs, I'll burn those too. His music no longer interests me.

Dade County is far different than many parts of Florida. Clay and St. Johns Counties are quite conservative and solidly red.

He also said he would not be performing in any other state that recognizes the law. 23 other states beside Florida have a SYG law. That's gonna' put a little crimp in your next tour Stevie.

“Stand your ground” says you don’t have to retreat, you can use deadly force to defend yourself. How could George Z. have retreated? He was on the ground, getting his head stoved in, with that hoodlum, trayvon martin betting the crap out of him. “Stand your ground” is moot here.
Stevie Wonder is a low information, low intelligence, Low relevance, has been.

Uh-oh, Florida, now you've gone and done it. First the NAACP boycotts you, now Stevie Wonder.
Now, if you can only get the Urban Beach Week thugs to boycott you, you'll probably increase see tourism double...

There was a comedian who got into trouble a good number of years back (maybe it was in that Rodney Dangerfield standup series on HBO) IIRC, It was Sam Kinison.
