"Trevino Morales' brother, sister and mother lived in Dallas, but he had many relatives around Nuevo Laredo and, while moving frequently to avoid authorities, he was believed to often return to his hometown, the U.S. official said."

What are these people doing in our country?

Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, the notoriously brutal leader of the feared Zetas drug cartel, has been captured

I wonder how many cops, prosecutors and their family members will be murdered, before the authorities are forced to let him go, just so they can stay alive?

I am sure there were bribes — if not worse — involved in their having been given resident status in the U.S. Zetas are not above threatening the family of ICE and CPB documents staff in order to get their relatives accommodated. Check out most of the population of Columbus, NM.

Is he a “white Hispanic”, a “self-described Hispanic”, or both? That’s what really matters.

I hope the Federales are ready when the Zetas show up with all those Obama-Holder provided Fast and Furious weapons.

Until the Mexican Government strongly goes after the Sinaloa Cartel, Chapo Guzman, the criminal enterprises really won’t decline. I think the Army could quash the cartels, burn the opium and drug fields up, do it from the air. I don’t think they really want to. Many say they are on the take and yes, certainly, there is a degree of corruption.

The Zetas are an enemy and are unbelievably fierce and evil and the enemy of the Government. Hard to see Mexico pulling out of this in the next few decades.

Borderland Beat has an interesting article. Z-40 Trevino Morales is from Dallas, his brother a horse farm owner in Oklahoma: rest assured the DHS could have nailed him anytime. Who benefits? Chapo Guzman’s Sinaloa Cartel, the one Obama and Holder have been selling guns to in Fast and Furious.

Z-40 must have stopped paying so the Federales took him out. He has had free reign around Laredo - he was arrested 20 miles west of Laredo. His Zetas are running huge drug shipments through Houston, getting police escorts across town sometimes from corrupt cops. The Zetas are here in Texas big time. The Chicago connected Sinaloa Cartel is trying to take Zeta turf now and they have support from the politicos - that is why Z-40 got arrested and not executed. Negotiations in progress. It is an acquisition of marketing channel by Sinaloa.

He was captured in Mexico, by Mexican Marines, and probably his family members are legal US citizens and are perfectly legitimate themselves. But like the Italian or Russian mafia, Mexican gang leaders (many of whom are tied in with the Calabrian mafia) live the way the fictional Tony Soprano or the real John Gotti did, dropping in on the non-gang parts of his family and their neighbors, doing them favors, buying them things...the basic Jesse James approach.

We’ve got to stop glorifying criminals in this country. That’s what made the odious punklet “Trayvon” into a culture hero.
