The race baiters who are howling today obviously did not watch the closings or even a good account of them. This case wasn’t close.
Good synopsis
The prosecutor was just doing his job, trying to show that there was some shadow of a doubt about Z’s innocence. If there is a shadow of a doubt as to innocence then the jury must not acquit, right? Unfortunately it was not successful.
In closing arguments, the prosecutors never said “the evidence proves”. Not a single time.

A lot of Speculation about federal charges... but it won’t happen. Federal Prosecutors only take cases they can win.
To my mind, the most irrefutable proof of self-defense that Zimmerman’s supporters should focus on is the evidence that TM was raining down blows on GZ for more than forty-five seconds during which time GZ was screaming for help but didn’t land a single blow on TM. Even if, hypothetically speaking, GZ had somehow done something that gave TM a legitimate reason to punch him in the face and knock him to the ground, there would have been no remotely-plausibly-legitimate reason for him to continue beating GZ for more than 45 seconds after that.

I think this was the Biblical quote the prosecutor was aiming for. Why am I not surprised he couldn’t recite it correct or site the book it was from.
