There are no winners in the trial of George Zimmerman. The only question is whether the damage that has been done has been transient or irreparable.
Legally speaking, Zimmerman has won his freedom. But he can still be sued in a civil case, and he will probably never be safe to live his life in peace, as he could have before this case made him the focus of national attention and orchestrated hate.
More important than the fate of George Zimmerman, however, is the fate of the American justice system and of the public's faith in that system and in their country. People who have increasingly asked, during the lawlessness of the Obama administration, "Is this still America?" may feel some measure of relief.
But the very fact that this case was brought in the first place, in an absence of serious evidence which became ever more painfully obvious as the prosecution strained to try to come up with anything worthy of a murder trial will be of limited encouragement as to how long this will remain America.
The political perversion of the criminal justice system began early and at the top, with the President of the United States. Unlike other public officials who decline to comment on criminal cases that have not yet been tried in court, Barack Obama chose to say, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon."
It was a clever way to play the race card, as he had done before, when Professor Henry Louis Gates of Harvard was arrested.
But it did not stop there. After the local police in Florida found insufficient evidence to ask for Zimmerman to be prosecuted, the Obama administration sent Justice Department investigators to Sanford, Florida, and also used the taxpayers' money to finance local activists...

Indeed. And here I thought he just wanted to destroy the economy. Who knew that he had the end of the rule of law as an ambition as well.
BTTT!
Ditto-—he’s a breath of fresh air.
.
Someone on one of the FR spin off sites once said something to the effect that, "there is a reason WHY the world shook out like it did". Basically that there is no one more ruthless and clever than the white man. When he decides, collectively, he wishes to survive, look out.
Yeah it's clever to play off the emotions of the stupid.
We’re being given no choice, if we want to survive. The left will cry copious tears over the extinction of some tadpole, and the EPA will prevent people from developing their own property because of some insect, but those same peole applaud the extinction of the white race, with all the characteristics which are unique to Caucasians.
That alone was bad in itself, in my opinion. But what is worse, some are saying that Republicans must vote for Scott again, with it implied that one must also vote for Bondi. They insert, "What are you going to do, vote for the Democrat?"
I would expect this type of mob pandering from a Democrat, but not a Republican.
From what I’ve read in various articles about current events in Sweden, they’re even further along the road to politically correct serfdom than we are, if you can fathom that. In the recent Muslim riots they had, the police wouldn’t go into the Muslim “no-go” areas to arrest the rioters. The firefighters would”t go in to put out the fires. Some indigenous Swedes had their cars torched, and a meter maid ticketed the burned cars for being parked over the time limit! They wouldn’t deal with the Muslims who torched the cars, but ticketed the Swedes who had their cars torched!
Also, rape of indigenous Swedish women by Muslim “yoots” is a serious problem there. These problems are not only in the large cities, they have spread to the small towns.
They also have no right to keep and bear arms.
I’d do a lot of research before considering jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.
New Zealand has the same problem with the abos, as we have with our “yoots”. Drugs, drug dealing, crime, rape, generational dole, incapacity to be educated, all the rest. And they are a protected class, just as our “yoots” are, perhaps even more so. New Zealand’s prime minister is an official socialist.
As bad as the US is, many western nations are worse. Consider Britain, where you can be jailed for writing “rayciss” comments on Facebook-and the definition of “rayciss” is a very broad one. Or Emma West in England, who was jailed for for making a “rayciss” comment, when she told some Paki women who were harassing her, to go back to Pakistan.
Or Canada, where they have “Human Rights Commissions”, extra-judicial committees empowered to fine or jail people for anything they deem “hate speech”. Mark Steyn recently had to fight one of these kangaroo courts (he won, thank goodness. But if you don’t have deep pockets or access to them, you can forget it). Canada is perfectly honest about the fact that they have no right of free speech.
All this is undoubtedly coming to the US, but it’s not here yet, and at least we have a “fighting” chance to slow or stop it, because we’re one the very few western nations who have a right to keep and bear arms.
I heard that young Maoris adopted American Thug “culture” whole-heartedly.
And I have heard about the UK’s weird anti-free speech stand and Steyn’s epic battles with the Canada’s PC courts.
But, a guest or new resident in another country, I’d be adapting to new standards so I wouldn’t feel quite as bad about these issue as I do about what has happened in USA.
