The FBI had advance warning of an al-Qaeda plot to bring down a commercial airliner on American soil just weeks before the 1996 TWA 800 crash that claimed 230 civilian lives.
Now, a series of previously-confidential FBI documents obtained by investigative journalist Peter Lance and seen by MailOnline, provide compelling evidence that the crash was an act of terror orchestrated by the man now believed by many to be the true architect of 9/11.
Speaking to MailOnline Lance said: Who wants to have an act of terror on their watch especially an act of terror where an argument could be made that they could have stopped it?

Yes. And they even printed up a fancy poster, showing a 747 (in their version) slamming into the ocean just off of NYC, with the twin towers in the background.
It was posted a number of places (in Pakistan, I believe) well before the downing.
WND and a few other places carried the story, which went nowhere, since it would contradict the whole “Peace and Prosperity” meme promulgated b4 Clinton’s re-election.
You mean the center fuel tanks are okay now? Who’da thunk it?
As the Clinton’s are famous for saying, “What difference does it make now?”
And also a tug-boat captain hired to drag the ocean floor found a MANPADS booster canister (it’s a fast-burn fuel that acts to simply get the missile safely away from the operator before the main motor kicks in).
That story also went nowhere.
Then of course there were the 230 eye-witnesses, including a combat helicopter pilot who was airborne, nearby —just didn’t matter to our FBI (which a couple years earlier had burned down a church full of people, “they killed themselves”).
No....it was the center fuel-tank explosion, uh-huh.
The US Navy was so concerned about it they tried to replicate that explosion THOUSANDS of times, even dumping entire hibachis full of red briquettes directly into fuel-tanks:
NADA.
A MANPAD doesn’t have a warhead large enough to bring down a 747 in a catastrophic manner.
The Terror War against the USA began YEARS before the USA Leadership finally deigned to recognize it —the same time that it was revealed to literally the whole world, clattering in a fireball onto NYC sidewalks.
It was an act of pure political expediency —if an apple falls to ground and you REFUSE to acknowledge gravity, that decision does not negate the effects of gravity.
WHAT ARE THEY HIDING NOW...?
Our leaders have NOTHING in common with us.
I always figured that the Clinton Administration couldn’t blame it on right wing extremists, so they called it an accident. It was easier to believe the witnesses than the official explanation. The last thing Clinton wanted to do was divert attention away from the exaggerated, mostly non existent, right-wing terrorist threat, and towards the real terrorist threat, Islam.
On Aug. 22, 1996, just before the Democratic National Convention,
Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI.
Immediately after this meeting, as it happened,
all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.
Do you have an article that documents that?
She has got to be the second-most wicked and dangerous woman in the world.
I don’t think Flight 800 was brought down by a missile fired by a terrorist. The strongest argument against that is that a terrorist wouldn’t position himself so far to the east of JFK Airport if that was his intent. Flight 800 was very high up in the sky at that point in its eastbound flight.
Old terrorism?
I seem to remember some ‘Kennedy’ guy running for President got hisself shot by some A-rab.
Something about relations with Israel.
In 1968.
Your first three words are correct.
I believe TWA 800 was brought down by friendly fire during a training exercise when a Navy missile veered toward the 747 instead of the drone it was supposed to kill.
That is why the cover-up is so intense.
So...the article is completely wrong?
I always felt that 800 was a victim of “friendly fire” as you put it. Too many eye witnesses on the shoreline that night ID’ed a missile and all amateur videos were confiscated by the morning.
“A MANPAD doesnt have a warhead large enough to bring down a 747 in a catastrophic manner.”
Most MANPAD warheads have ~1 - >3 lbs of high-explosives in the warhead. Exactly how much would it take to detonate the fuel in a jumbo jet fuel tank?
