Their biggest challenge would be finding a jury to convict the guy. I suspect the unanimous “not guilty on all counts” verdict — and after only 16 hours of deliberation — is a pretty good indication of public sentiment in this case. They’d have a hard time getting even 2-3 jurors to convict Zimmerman in a Federal civil rights case, let alone 12.

I think that if anybody has a civil rights claim it is Zimmerman against the City of Sanford for their little conclave in the mayor’s office with the evidence that the police were still processing.

I suspect right now that Mr Bonaparte is searching his maps for a little island off the coast of Tuscany for a long vacation.

Even if they file it in the District of Columbia and hand select a jury from the citizens of the District?
