George Zimmerman defense lead counsel Mark O'Mara closed out his news conference with co-counsel Don West tonight after the not guilty verdict in the Trayvon Martin case by ripping the press over its abuse of his client George Zimmerman.
O'Mara told the press Zimmerman felt like a patient being operated on with no anesthesia by mad scientists. He couldn't understand why he was being turned in to a monster.
O'Mara told the press they were handed a false story and "ran with it".
I heard his remarks and I thought they were spot on.
Priceless!
Long overdue.
Good for him!
The media is far more dangerous to America than Obama ever hoped to be. Seriously.
I like this guy.
I was CHEERING! YES, let the press know what fools and tools they are!
He was terrific. I wonder if they even know who they are.
In fact it is astounding how many pople who think they know all about the case STILL say GZ disobeyed an order from the Sandford PD.
O’Mara must be disappointed since he did everything he could to get Zimmerman convicted.
I like him, too—even more since I learned that he took the case pro bono.
And he’s right..what the media wanted more than anything(And Obama too) was race riots, it would be like Christmas and New Years all rolled up into one for them..they want to see blacks kill as many white people as possible, they want a race war
Mark is an AWESOME lawyer and a great human being..God Bless him
Don West was one pissed off lawyer despite his win.
I saw that, too. Like I’ve said, I never make jokes about lawyers because they have uses but if I make a choice between today’s “journolist” or a lawyer of which i despise more, it would be today’s liberal reporter.
Both lawyers were quite erudite in their remarks and flat out on the mark. O’Mara slapped the media up side their collective heads. Good for him. No doubt these good lawyers will be keelhauled from now on.
And to think, that last question - and his response - almost never happened, as he was on his way out.
That was the best slap-down of an over-zealous and politicized media I have ever heard.

The press functions like a mob... it’s shameful.
He was spot on.
Proud of him, great point to end the ‘news conference’ on.
