Secret courts. Secret emails. Phone surveillance. Drones. The list of cloak-and-dagger tactics employed by the Obama administration -- and those that preceded it -- keeps growing, as NSA leaker Ed Snowden feeds classified materials to the media and other reports show the extent of the U.S. government's more opaque dealings.
The latest was a report by The Associated Press that said the administration had military files about the Navy SEAL raid on Usama bin Ladens hideout transferred to the CIA, where they would be harder to uncover by the press and public.
If this were any other administration, perhaps the fallout would be minimal. But President Obama ran on a message of open government. When he was sworn into office in 2009, he declared his presidency would be the most open and transparent in history.
Now in his second term, those claims have been challenged by a host of revelations -- from controversies over secret mails to the steady drip of information about NSA surveillance. FoxNews.com takes a look at six controversies that have clouded the transparency message.

This needs to get into the mainstream. It’s a simple concept that even the low info voters can understand.
Guess what? Obama bought you a cellphone for the same reason that guy bought you a burger last night. They both said they loved you and wouldn’t lie to you, baby.
Congressman Kenny Marchant (R-TX), whose district includes several areas around Dallas and Ft. Worth and who is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means and its Subcommittee on Oversight, received a letter from a reader over at Obama Release Your Records, who goes by the name of Dougster venting his frustration and desire for articles of impeachment to be brought against Barack Hussein Obama.
Marchant replied, stating that Obama is under the most scrutiny and being investigated by the House, the Senate and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Marchant indicated that as he views what is taking place with the investigations it is important for him to know the views and concerns of his constituents. I share your outrage over the multiple scandals involving the Internal Revenue Service, the State Department, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice, and other agencies under this Administration, he wrote. Each is alarming and each warrants a high degree of scrutiny.
He went on to elaborate that when articles of impeachment are introduced, the House Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction to consider theme and collect critical information. From there, they would decide whether to move forward with charges that amount to treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
If those things were settled, those articles of impeachment would then be presented to the House for a vote and, if passed, be sent to the Senate where a 2/3 majority vote would be required to remove Obama from office. Frankly, unless the Democrats believe they are going to be taken down with Obama that is not likely to happen.
There are currently investigations underway in the House, the Senate, and at the FBI to gather as much information from the Administration as possible.(Excerpt) Read more at freedomoutpost.com ...

Obama's not a president---he's an investor. In Chicago criminal
politics, getting into office is seen as a lucrative investment.

Yeah about that “transparency” thing...
Seems like the Left bought the Brooklyn bridge from this guy:
“My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.
Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.”
Just why aren’t nobama and his minions in prison?
