The pervasive violence in Chicago should cause every reasonable and prudent person to give pause in whether they would continue living there. Certainly for those of us who might consider a trip to Chicago on vacation with our families, the prudent thing would be to travel to a safer city.

That is true of a lot of cities. The mobs have started invading downtown areas formerly safe. Best to boycott cities.

In Mississippi we have the right to self defense. We are not Florida. We are a Castle Doctrine State. Our automobles are an extension of our homes. Our Governor carries. I’ll take Mississippi and my CCW and 90% of my fellow Mississippians being armed over any other part of this country.

I’m so glad that my dad was able to finish his career in Seattle rather than have to move to that hellhole.
An old movie has a good line about the underclass: “You think the future can’t cross a bridge?”
To which I would add, go drive through any slum and notice how many cars are parked, many of them nice cars. They WILL be able to reach the suburbs.
And now the State of Florida, with the help of the Democrat Party and news media is trying to turn the entire State into a New York City and Chicago. A place where the law abiding citizen has no right, duty, or means to defend their lives. A place where any individual or group of individuals can take your life and property while you do the only thing you are able to do; beg the not to. A place where an individual or a group of individuals can approach your wife and daughter or both and rape them to their heart's content while the most you can legally do is stand there and wring your hands and plead with them please don't. Oh, afterward, you can dial 911 and they may or may not send a cop out to ask, "What you want us to do?"
I would not assume anything in that regard especially in a rampantly liberal town like Chicago.
