the Affordable Care Act has a new, high profile set of dissenters: Unions.
The leaders of three major U.S. unions, including the highly influential Teamsters, have sent a scathing open letter to Democratic leaders in Congress, warning that unless changes are made, President Obamas health care reform plan will destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.
If thats not bad enough, the Affordable Care Act, if not modified, will destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,

and of course, this received a lot of coverage in the MSM
The unions blocked the doors and didn’t let people in during public meetings leading up to the rammed-through vote.
The unions bused in their members and they filled the seats of these meetings.
The unions punched out people who carried signs against Obamacare.
The unions need to take their medicine full strength.
The unions got the boy elected and now they’re upset because he’s doing what he promised them he’d do. Geeesh. Morons. Elections do have consequences. Union voters are a bunch of really low information types.
I don’t think we need to do anything but sit back and watch. God’s orchestrating this. He’s not mocked. Mess around with His grace and one gets oneself in horrible tangles. And if and when they say, hey, what could we have been thinking... please resist the temptation to glorify yourself by saying “I told you so.” Refer the glory to God, who told all of us so, including about things that all of us are badly muffing now, almost 2000 years ago.
Temps usually work for union shops without union coverage but that’s often seen as probationary and then they’re hired and in the union or replaced by more temps.
Seems like UPS had union people working part time for years.
Look for the Union label
and throw all good sense
under the table.
Thank you for the responses.
I was wondering if the bottom line here was declining union members meaning less money.
They can all burn in the hell of their own making which is the same one they planned for the rest of us.
>>Changes like a waiver for union members, maybe?
That was their plan. But, now that the “you can keep your plan if you like it” lie has been exposed, they’re in a panic. They want their Cadillac Plan, but under ObamaCare, they have to pay for it out of pocket. They’re learning that the employers who cut out health care plans from employee compensation are not giving a pay raise that is equal to the amount of the new ObamaCare premium.
Basically, they’ve come to realize that the Right’s “Sky is falling” warning about ObamaCare is 100% true! They’re mad, not because Obama sold them out, but because the Right is right.
Unfortunately, God is an equal-opportunity clobberer and he's been smiting those of us who opposed Obamacare as well as devastating its (former) champions.
The righteous will suffer along with the wicked, but in the end not equally so. The wicked must either repent or get utterly swept away. The theme of burden-bearing is written deep into the constitution of this universe.
That...and how much do you suspect the unions are raking off the top on the insurance contracts covering their members?
Recall that, in Wisconsin, once the state no longer had to deal with an insurance company that was owned by the teacher's union, health insurance costs for teachers dropped about 30%.
Well, if we’re going to pull out of this thing as a country, a softer answer than that is going to prove very useful if and when these already-dwindling union people get their sane eyes back on. We’ve all done something wicked and if we all “ate sh*t and died” for it then the land would be barren. God throws no parties over that.
Declining membership is certainly going to be an issue in Michigan which is causing the unions to scramble. Teachers unions are trying to force schools to hire loyal union seniority teachers and demanding the immediate payment of millions in insurance costs.

If the federal subsidies aimed at the poor go to low paying union employees, look for union dues to go up in the amount in question. New money laundering scam to take taxpayer monies and apply it to organized labor and, of course, back to Democrats. /tin foil
I hope so. That is what they and they were a big factor in inflicting him on me two times. I wish nothing but the worse on them.
