The scary thing is the fact that its probably one of his more reasonable appointments.

If not gay, certainly as dumb as a box of rocks. The Japanese people are being insulted.

Aside from her maiden name what are her qualifications to be ambassador to Japan especially with the current volatile situation in Asia? I am surprised she didn’t get the position as Ambassador to France as her mother spoke a little French and dressed in French fashions.
To: kristinn
Except for Howard Baker, the ambassadors she follows are not exactly luminaries.

JFK was worthy of at least a *degree* of respect from decent Americans.JFK Jr,IMO,showed at least a glimmer of respectability on at least one occasion (openly criticizing his filthy, worthless scumbag cousins). From what little I know about Caroline I'm not sure the same is true of her.

Her world experience will be real, like, uh, useful in dealing with, like, US-Japanese security concerns, like um North Korea China and Russian claims to several Japanese islands
But she did have a caterer serve sushi once
and Uncle Bobby can advise on anti-nuclear power policies
