House to Vote Next Week to Delay Individual Mandate
ABC News ^ | 7/11/13 | John Parkinson

House Speaker John Boehner today announced that the House will take votes next week on a one-year delay to both the employer mandate and the individual mandate in the president’s signature health care law.

Boehner’s vow was instigated by the Obama administration’s decision last week to postpone implementation of the mandate for businesses.

Thursday, the speaker ticked off examples of the types of people who would have to overcome the burden of the mandate – young professionals with student loans, single parents and families – and contrasted their struggle with financial companies, government contractors and big banks who stand to benefit from the administration’s decision to delay the mandate for employers.

“It’s unfair and indefensible,” Boehner, R-Ohio, said. “Is it fair for the president to give American businesses an exemption from the health law’s mandates without giving the same break to individuals and families across the country? Hell, no, it isn’t!”

Why vote? They should just ask Øbama to delay it. He breaks laws at will.

Bah! He should just schedule a vote on a repeal of the whole thing!

Let's just have it all kick-in in 2017 when the new Republican President takes office so the Republicans can take the blame.

Lousy argument. It assumes that the President can grant exemptions.

Isn’t Boehner helping Obama to increase possibility of Dems regaining control of House in 2014?

And speaking of 2014, if conservatives can win 2/3 majority control in both Houses of Congress in 2014 then conservatives will have constitutionally authority to repeal Obamacare without Obama’s signature.

Conservative supermajority control of Congress will also let Congress impeach Obama and the Supreme Court.

More Kabuki theatre from the GOP losership.

If they wanted to do something, they would just defund it all.

I have a better chance of winning the lottery AND being elected president AND being struck by lightening than the chance of defunding Obamacare.

Because the Democrats perfected their method of election stealing in 2012, the wins by Conservatives in particular and Republicans from that point on will be very rare. And for a Conservative to win an election they must first defeat:1. The Republican Party. 2. The Democrat Party. 3. The main stream media. 4. The voting public.

Actually, he can’t. The House will vote for it, but the Senate won’t or, even if it did, 0 would veto it.

O isn’t vetoing it. This is horse trading. Obama gave the exemption for business with Obamacare knowing full well the House will go after the individual mandate.

So Obama will now trade the individual mandate for amnesty. And the House will jump on in thinking they got a good deal.

Then Obama reneges on the mandate. That has been his modus operandi for 5 years, it isn’t going to change.
