Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

Yes he can bring it up. I suspect he will get to the jury instructions later and show that, justifiable use of deadly force is why George Zimmerman is not guilty.

Someone should tell Wolf Blitzer that the defense does not have to prove self-defense. Once a defendant raises self-defense, the State has the burden to prove the defendant did not act in self-defense.

It might have been more effective if he had told them ahead of time of what he was doing..but maybe not..maybe it was better for people to go WTF is he doing including the Judge.

I was sitting in a waiting room and CNN was on. According to their panel, GZ might as well be picking out curtains because they already have a prison cell ready for him. They called the closing for the “persecution” brilliant and masterful.
I’m not sure what the hell they were talking about.
He did run home to his father's place. But he had to run back to where George Zimmerman first saw him because that's where he left his burglary tool.
So, he ran back and was in the bushes looking for it when GUESS WHO came walking down the sidewalk behind the townhouses ?
Yes, it was George, and he was on the phone.
Now, Trayvon was in trouble. If this guy ID'd him and someone found the burglary tool, well, the cops might put two and two together.
His only choice now was to knock the white dude unconscious, steal his phone and money, then run back home.
Problem was, George had a gun. You know the rest of the story.
