A 27-year veteran of the Utah Air National Guard said he was reprimanded after he wrote a letter objecting to a gay wedding in the West Point chapel and was later told to prepare for retirement because his personal beliefs about homosexuality were not compatible with the militarys policies.
The military is trying to make examples of people who have religious beliefs that homosexual conduct in the military is wrong, said John Wells, an attorney representing TSgt. Layne Wilson. The end game is to force conservative Christians out of the military.
Last December Wilson wrote a letter to a person believed to be a chaplain at West Point. He stated his displeasure at news of a same-sex ceremony held in the Cadet Chapel.
This is wrong on so many levels, Wilson wrote. If they wanted to get married in a hotel that is one thing. Our base chapels are a place of worship and this is a mockery to God and our military core values. I have proudly served 27 years and this is a slap in the face to us who have put our lives on the line for this country. I hope sir that you will take appropriate action so this does not happen again.

I dream of a newly elected conservative president announcing on day one “everything implemented by my predecessor is hereby revoked, including all executive orders.”

Reason #364,875 why I'm glad to be retired now.
The Soviets are the Red Menace. The Soviets are our Allies. The Soviets are the enemy.
We’ve given soldiers whiplash before.
Let’s not get started on Muslims. It’s a religion of peace. Only bad Muslims will blow your head off. Please ignore the doctor’s Power Point. Please pay attention to our Power Point. Then you will learn that Catholics are extremists.
had the same dream
First order of business, I want all what the last President did overturned, I want all his agenda overturned and lets get back to how the country was and how we were respected around the world with the greatest military in the world and where men marry women etc.
This is possibly my favorite

Because believing that homosexuality is wrong is a legitimate belief within historic Christianity, it is inappropriate to “make examples of people who have religious beliefs that homosexual conduct in the military is wrong, as the article says.
They have a recognized, historic belief on which they are commenting. This is nothing new, nor unusual, nor even comment worthy.
The real measure of this is that the US military ALREADY accommodates a number of religious beliefs that are unique to those religions. They even allow very conservative Jews, for example, to have their own chapel buildings in many locations, because of the kosher laws that make an area religiously unusable for them.
The military already forbids desecration style services by occult religions in chapels used for normal Christian worship.
For the military to accommodate those adhering to the historic Christian faith by setting aside a particular chapel for either them or for those in one of the newly invented homosexual friendly religions would not be an undue burden on the military.
They already accommodate other practices of other religions without suggesting those believers must give up their military careers.
There may come a time when the citizens are fighting the Army. You’d think they’d remember the last time this happened apparently God was on the believers’ side.
Have anyone in particular in mind?
John Wells, an attorney representing TSgt. Layne Wilson. "The end game is to force conservative Christians out of the military."
Secede.
Turnabout is fair play. Conservatives should be crystal clear that when congress is Republican again, not only will this persecution end, but those responsible for it will be out of their jobs.
Right now there are perhaps thousands of federal employees who have engaged in numerous examples of misconduct, in any number of ways. They should no longer be working for the government.
I don't see any way out of this madness except separation between the New Majority and the group formerly known as the American People.
Coming from a military family, there was a time in the recent past that I would have been quite pleased if any of my grandchildren would have joined the military.....however, since our new commander in chief and his party took over, I would strongly discourage not only those in my family or anyone else to find another career. Makes me sad.
I agree. It's been obvious for quite some time now that there's no hope of reconciliation with the libs. We're just to fundamentally opposed on all basic issues.
Actually, I don't see it so much as "secession" as the "expulsion" of liberal areas. Look at the county-by-county 2012 election map - basically we're looking at expelling from the Union about 100 miles from the coast from about LA up to SF in the West, and from about DC to Bangor, ME in the East. There are a few pockets of Demonrats in the big cities, the Mississippi Delta, and along a couple of the interstates in Dixie, and a few others, but we can handle that with kinder and gentler persuasion to move to CT en masse.
Look, my friends. Why is this even an issue? Without conservative Christians the feds have no military, intelligence services, farmers, miners, and so on and so forth. What are they going to do to us - send in the Mighty LGBT Army to destroy us? It is to laugh.
They're nothing without us. They need us, but we don't need them. It's that simple. Let's kick them out of the Union and leave them to their fate.
Unfortunately, we’re talking about the majority of the voting public—and perhaps a larger majority of the public who cannot be bothered to vote. The last election made that all too painfully clear. Expel them? More likely they will expel us!
We control all the oil and gas pipelines and almost all the oil and gas extraction. We control the transcontinental electrical grid. We control the east-west railroads and interstates. We raise the food and make the cars and trucks.
They either do PowerPoint presentations for a living or live off of EBT cards.
They ain't much, and we'll be well rid of them.
Obama is ensuring all the Commissars are in each unit, we are not that far from from the former Soviet Union. We need to pray more.
